World Home - Thoughts What comes to your mind when you think of the World Home? The children who participated in the creation of the World Home 21 22 September 2009 in Stockholm, brought personal contributions to the World Home and wrote reflections. Here are some of the thoughts written down as they were, some in English, some in Swedish and some in both languages. The world home a home for every or any continent World is a place of the solar system Home is a place where a human being lives This home is for the children in the street or homeless We have to build the world home together from Kenya, Sweden, Slovakia and Others. Ett världshem är för mig. - ett hem för alla människor som lever på jorden - ren miljö, vatten, kläder, mat, sång, medicin - ett hem för dom som lever ensamma och behöver ha någonstans att bo Alla ska bo även vart dom kommer ifrån Josefin Världshem En plats där alla kan vara och må bra, där alla får kärlek och trygghet För mig är världshem - ett hem för alla där man är vänner och alla ska trivas och had et bra - vänner som ser en som man är For me the world home is - friends and family - a home for everybody where everyone are friends

A World home is for me a place for all to come and be themselves and be accepted for the way they are. It s a place built of love and safety. It s placed up high so no madness can join. To me a World hole is a place where people from all over the world come together, where they share thoughts and make the world equal wherever you are from. Världshem En plats där alla människor hard et bra, där alla har kärlek och vänskap och även där alla är lyckliga. En plats där alla hjälps åt och där vi hushållar med jordens resurser. En plats där alla kan träffa varandra och att alla ska vara lyckliga. Ett hus för barn som har det dåligt, som att ha förlorat sina föräldrar eller barn som lever på gatan. World home When the world comes together and they start working as a family and they save other s problems problem like street boys you give them love, care and peace. For me the World home is an organisation from Globe tree. This world home will be very good. It symbolises unity in the whole world. People from all over the world will come together and everyone will be equal. And I think the world will be a better place for everyone. I love World home so much. It has made me meet different kinds of people from all over the world. It brings a sense of serving other people who are in need. Many people unite and bring abut their ideas on how to bring the world to look better in the future. I would like all people in the world to have a good place to stay. That is why I have brought a house to build the World home. It symbolises a good shelter for all.

Jag tanker att det ska bli et thus. Jag tycker att världshemmet låter som en trevlig snäll plats. Och man kan leva där tillsammans. What I have brought to the World home the traditional ball which I have done a lot with and it makes people know me more and I like playing football. I have brought a peace necklace. It symbolises the peace we have in the world and the more of peace we want to have. So there should be no discrimination, good education and we can learn each other of our differences. The first thing the world home is where people have come together and united to each other to help people who have (more) problems than me. Världshemmet En plats för alla där alla ska ha det bra och ha någonstans att bo och ingen ska behova bo på gatan. Jag tycker att världshemmet ska vara stort. Alla ska få mat gratis där. Att man ska få tillträde till skola. Man får nya kläder varje månad. Ska kunna trivas. Ska finnas mat, kläder, skor, penna, papper och leksaker. Vi från Sverige och andra länder får skicka pengar till dom. Man ska få tycka, tänka och berätta vad man vill. Att vara snäll mot alla. When I heard about the world home my first thought was this is a place where everyone should be welcome. This is a place everyone should feel safe and comfortable so I was going to bring a real Swedish thing. I knew exactly what to bring. This is a cheese-slicer. We use this to cut our cheese with. It is extremely common in Swedish households so I think it would fit perfectly in the world home. Jag tycker alla människor är lika värda och alla barn har rättigheter I samhället. Tänk på Tellus den är viktigast för framför allt vi vill att världen måste lära samarbeta med varandra för att kunna fungera kommunikation. Alla måste bry om sig på miljövärdet den kan vara påverkad. Vi har lyxliv mer än afrikanska samhällen. Jag vill att båda ska vara lika värda. Tellus är vårt världshem därför att vi bor på EN planet. Man får köpa kondomer men ska inte ha sex innan man är gift. World home When I hear the world home I think about a home where everybody fits. It s not just kids there, it s everyone who wanted to be there.

To me the World home is a place or a house where all different people from all over the world, all different religions and colours can feel as one and live in harmony with each other, big and small, strong and weak. An OPEN house that never says NO to anyone as long as you show love and respect to each other. World home Everyone should feel loved and safe. My first thought was an Atmosphere which is surrounding the world with happiness and we are helping to make it better and bigger. Jag tog med en penna med fotbollar på. Tanken med pennan är att skolan är viktig. Att jag just valde en penna med fotbollar på var för att jag älskar att spela fotboll och jag vet att det är en sport som spelas i vartenda land. World hole Great. Good. It s a place where everyone can stop think about race or colour and just be themselves. If you imagine a place for the world you have to use all your fantasy cause fantasy helps to imagine. Alla ska trivas och ha det bra. Everyone shall feel well and the right to have a good time. I brought a pencil that represents school. School is a big and important part of my life. I think every child has the right to go to school and participate in learning to read and write. I also think its important that every child is happy and feels loved. For instance every child has the right to play and laugh with friends. World home I brought a water bottle because I think every body should have access to water. It s something that is really important. For me the world home is colourful. Food, Water & Health for all! It should be a place where everybody can feel comfortable and be hem/herself.

Love, peace and freedom could be the base for it as well as the respect for everyone gives the others receive the creation of the world home. The world home shall never stop always build on it. We are from a center in Hallunda Stockholm, a center for people with intelectuel disability. We wanted the world home to have good heal care for all people. And we wanted everybody to have a good hygien, that s why we took a toilett and first add kit with us. Ella Something special to me For this special project I brought something very dear to me. I brought some of my pencils, just to represent what I love to do. I love to draw, paint or just make things by gluing small things together so it will look like something! For example a dog or whatever it might be. I like art in general, no matter what form it has, it.s the idea that matters, and how the artist makes it. When I draw I express my thoughts and feelings. Every time she wants me to translate her letters or tell her the meaning of a word or take her to the bank, she asks me to help her. But whenever I tease her, Please mum, do it yourself she always starts by telling me that she did not go to school because as a young girl she was in the forest fighting the British colonialists for Kenya to be independent. Then she adds, that s why I worked hard to educate you, my son. I m among the lucky ones in Kenya who went to school during my time there are many like my mum who have never been to school and are not in school as I read this now. I decide to bring this ball pen all the way from Nairobi, Kenya as a sign of education to all; rich or poor, equally without discrimination in the World Home.
