Food of the future Gothenburg have a plan for the future of food. And so do the rest of the world. By the year 2050 the world population is estimated to have grown to 9.6 billion people. By that time we may have food growing in the cities, a whole new way to recycle, eat insects instead of cows and algae instead of tomatoes. The people living in Gothenburg today have an environmental footprint 20 times bigger than the Gothenburg municipality area. Since a big part of our environmental footprint comes from food, we in the Food and Art Summer Course at Valand invites you to taste 3 different types of foods based on the plate model. We hope that this food will make you want to join us in a discussion about what is sustainable both today and in the future.
