4 7 The Goal of the Lesson This unit serves to provide 10th graders with listening supplementary materials for the acquisition of listening skills and critical thinking skills in the process of exploring, rethinking, and rehearsing the way in which new technologies (i.e. mobile phones) have changed our lives, along with the final unit assignment, set in a symptom diagnosis scenario, for role playing a doctor patient relationship in order to exhibit and self evaluate students growing skills, knowledge, and understanding throughout the unit. 8
