Potential of the shared (vision for an anarchist utopia)

Hey Reddit! What about creating a Reddit-style website for making and deciding content of public buildings? So I have been thinking, in an ideal world, shouldn t the people be allowed to decide what goes in a building /building site which is state owned (not private). What about a Reddit-style site where people can suggest and vote on building content and its location. When enough people think its finished, it gets built on public ependiture. (not in the US of A of course) Would this create more eciting buildings and or cities? What if the decision making process was in the works for a good few years. Maybe people would argue over things and come to some good conclusions for all? Maybe the money thing could be part the voting. (its all parameters, surely some of you must know this) Imagine a new building is planned in your town centre, what would you like to have in it? I have been thinking about this because sometimes, architects and politicians are completely useless and boring. Couldn t this make for a better, more interesting world? Any thoughts?
