YOUR ENGLISH HOMEWORK In year 5
Här följer 28 läxor i engelska. Mvh Lena

Homework number 23 Read the text aloud to yourself. Read the text to your mother or father. Answer the questions with a whole sentence. The whale that lost its way One day Roger and Sarah went down to the beach for an early morning swim. When they came there, they saw something on the sand halfway under water. It was something very big and black, and it was absolutely still. They walked closer, and saw what it was a whale! Roger was very surprised, whales use to live out in the deep water! It was about six metres long and one metre high at its head. It must have lost its way, and got stranded on the sand. Poor thing. Sarah and Roger would do anything to save it! First of all they had to keep it cool. The sun would be too hot for it. They had to pour water over it all time. Then they must dig a channel round it so that it could lie in water. They got a lot of friends and parents to come down to the beach and they all worked hard to save Wally. That was the name Sarah gave it: Wally the Whale. They got a rope and tied it round Wally s tail. Then they tied the rope to a boat and they started to pull. Slowly Wally slid out into the sea and they untied the rope round his tail. Then he disappeared into deeper water. It looked like he waved his tail at them. Maybe he wanted to say thank you 1. Where were Roger and Sarah when they saw something big and black? 2. What was it? 3. Why was Roger surprised? (förvånad) 4. How big was the whale? 5. Why was it there? 6. What must they do to save the whale? 7. How did Wally say thank you?
