Studiemedel för utbytesstudier 2

Studiernas omfattning Studierna måste pågå under minst 3 veckor och kan vara på deltid (50 %). Skolan i Sverige ska intyga att studierna i sin helhet kan tillgodoräknas i utbildningen 3

Utbytesstudier och tillgodoräknande Antagningsbevis från mottagande skola behövs inte vid utbytesstudier uppgift i LADOK Om den mottagande skolan inte har fastställd studietid måste ett intyg bifogas från skolan Omfattningen beräknas på högskolepoäng i förhållande till antal studieveckor 4

Parallella studier Studier i Sverige och utbytesstudier parallellt under minst en vecka Studieomfattning beräknas utifrån den totala studietiden dvs. från startdatum till slutdatum den sammanlagda poängen Sök studiemedel för både studier i Sverige och utlandsstudier 5

Utbytesstudier och tillgodoräknande Uppgiften ska registreras i LADOK eller blankett 5524 fyllas i av skolan, finns på csn.se I LADOK ska framgå: Var du ska läsa Universitet/högskola i utlandet Under vilken termin Hur många poäng du får tillgodoräkna dig för utbytet 6

Förberedande språkkurs Studiemedel kan ges för förberedande språkkurs som avslutas med ett slutprov eller examen Ansök om språkkursen i en separat ansökan Skicka med: ifylld språkblankett (Blankett 5509 W), finns på www.csn.se Måste normalt vara minst tre veckor, om inte precis i anslutning till utbytesstudierna. 7

Ansökan Du måste skicka in en separat ansökan för studier utomlands. Ange utbytesstudier i ansökan Ange högskolepoäng i ansökan (inte credits eller units) Alla ansökningar görs via www.csn.se 8

Ansökan Sök för två terminer i taget samtidigt en ansökan för studier i Sverige och en ansökan för utlandsstudier Har du redan studiemedel för studier i Sverige gör en ny ansökan för utlandsstudier samt lämna en ändring för studiemedel i Sverige 9

Hur mycket kan man få? Det bestäms utifrån studietiderna. CSN har fastställd studietid för flera länder Studiemedel beräknas utifrån en termins antal veckor Som regel gäller månadsutbetalning och att merkostnadslån kan betalas ut i förväg vid behov 12

Studietider För att du ska veta hur mycket studiemedel du kan få, har CSN på förhand fastställt antalet veckor med studiemedel för några länder. I övriga länder gäller den faktiska studietiden som skolan i studielandet ska intyga genom exempelvis utdrag från Internet. Intyget ska innehålla: o start- och slutdatum o ev. lov o examensperiod Se www.csn.se 13

Utbetalning Månadsutbetalning - men möjlighet till förskott: Lån till resa och försäkring betalas alltid innan studiestart tidigast tre veckor innan Övriga studiemedel kan betalas ut i förskott som engångsutbetalning vid behov, exempelvis om du måste betala flera hyror förskott. Du måste styrka behovet. Det kommer en fråga i ansökan om du behöver få utbetalning i förskott 18

Utbetalning Du måste lämna studieförsäkran inför varje period/termin: Termin 1 på Mina sidor eller i Appen Termin 2 du och skolan skriver under en studieförsäkran Termin 3 på Mina sidor eller i Appen Termin 4 - du och skolan skriver under en studieförsäkran Studieförsäkran kan lämnas tidigast fyra veckor innan nästa termin Studieförsäkran skickas till dig i god tid innan 19

Tips och råd Skaffa e-legitimation om du inte har det! Använd gärna mobilt bank id och CSN:s App Studieresultat Se till att du får med dig dina resultat/betyg från studielandet innan du åker hem Anmäl ändringar Meddela alla ändringar i dina studier på en gång till CSN 20

Tips och råd Om du läser utomlands endast en termin. Ansök om studiemedel för två terminer även om ditt utbytesprogram endast är en termin. Sjukdom Meddela ALLTID CSN! Skaffa läkarintyg från första sjukdagen. 21

STUDENT-UT INSURANCE All outgoing exchange students are insured by Kammarkollegiet s insurance Student- UT during their semester abroad provided that: You are registered as an exchange student in LADOK You have notified the International Office your exact semester dates You have received your Insurance Certificate from the International Office Free of charge paid for by Malmö university Valid 14 days before and 14 days after the semester dates SURVIVAL GUIDE PAGE 9 Direct travel Sweden - country of study Valid 24-hours a day in country of study i.e. it is NOT valid in any other country than your host university TWO parts: Health coverage and property/disruption/baggage/liability etc. coverage

It is your responsibility to email andreas.roth@mah.se Letter of Acceptance or similar document with exact semester dates from your host university (or LoA + link to official Academic Calendar) Please don t wait until the last minute! The documents will be sent to the address you gave in Moveon when you applied (unless otherwise specified) please send updated address if needed

STUDENT-UT INSURANCE OUTSIDE EU/EEA Students going outside EU/EEA can receive a Medical Insurance Card (MIC) from the International Office. Includes EMERGENCY medical and dental care during the policy term Only valid in the host country! SPECIAL INFORMATION: Students going to Australia: We need your Certificate of Enrolment Visa confirmation including your visa expiry date Students going to the USA: Contact Falck Travel Care before going to see a doctor Students going to Turkey: You will receive an insurance certificate in Turkish as well

INSURANCE WITHIN EU/EEA Same coverage as Student UT outside of EU/EEA, except for health care: Bring your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), issued by Försäkringskassan (www.forsakringskassan.se) or similar social insurance authority in your home country. Be sure to order this in time! For health care, you are covered by this card (instead of the MIC of the 'Student-UT insurance ) If you are not an EU/EEA-citizen (not eligible for an EHIC card), contact the International Office The EHIC is valid in the following countries: Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Great Britain, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxemburg, France, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Cyprus, Malta, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia

STUDENT UT MAKE A CLAIM Claim form and instructions available online: www.mah.se/studerautomlands/forsakring www.mah.se/studyabroad/insurance Send with ORIGINAL SIGNATURE together with ORIGINAL doctor s certificates, receipts, police reports etc. Malmö University verifies your status as an exchange student and sends it to Kammarkollegiet the authority who make a decision on your claim REMEMBER! First pay, then claim money back be sure to have some spare money with you! (In case of emergency outside of EU/EEA possible to contact Falck Travelcare directly for help. Info on this is printed on your MIC card)

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS FROM OUTSIDE THE EU/EEA ON EXCHANGE BEFORE: You should not apply for a residence permit for studies in Sweden for the semester you will be on exchange Apply for residence permit to the country where you will be going on exchange If you pay tuition fees for your studies at Malmö University, you will continue to do so during your exchange semester as well
