3 Studiemedel för utbytesstudier 3

4 Vad är utbytesstudier? Enligt Wikipedia: Utbytesstudier omfattar studenter, utbytesstudenter, som ingår i ett internationellt utbytesprogram mellan lärosäten. Ett utbytesprogram är ett avtal som är arrangerat mellan dels en skola (universitet, högskola eller gymnasie) i hemlandet och dels en skola i det främmande landet. På så sätt får ett begränsat antal studenter i moderlandet möjlighet att studera vid det utländska lärosätet, medan det utländska lärosätet parallellt skickar studenter till det första landet. På det viset är studierna för utbytesstudenten kostnadsfria vid det utländska universitetet 4

5 Studiernas omfattning Studierna måste pågå under minst 3 veckor och kan vara på deltid (50 %). Skolan i Sverige ska intyga att studierna i sin helhet kan tillgodoräknas i utbildningen 5

6 Utbytesstudier och tillgodoräknande Antagningsbevis från mottagande skola behövs inte vid utbytesstudier uppgift i LADOK Om den mottagande skolan inte har fastställd studietid måste ett intyg bifogas från skolan Omfattningen beräknas på högskolepoäng i förhållande till antal studieveckor 6

7 Utbytesstudier och tillgodoräknande Uppgiften ska registreras i LADOK eller blankett 5524 fyllas i av skolan, finns på csn.se I LADOK ska framgå: Var du ska läsa Universitet/högskola i utlandet Under vilken termin Hur många poäng du får tillgodoräkna dig för utbytet 7

8 Förberedande språkkurs Studiemedel kan ges för förberedande språkkurs som avslutas med ett slutprov eller examen Ansök om språkkursen i en separat ansökan Skicka med: ifylld språkblankett (Blankett 5509 W), finns på Måste normalt vara minst tre veckor, om inte precis i anslutning till utbytesstudierna. 8

13 Hur mycket kan man få? Det bestäms utifrån studietiderna. CSN har fastställd studietid för flera länder Studiemedel beräknas utifrån en termins antal veckor Som regel gäller månadsutbetalning och att merkostnadslån kan betalas ut i förväg vid behov 13

14 Studietider För att du ska veta hur mycket studiemedel du kan få, har CSN på förhand fastställt antalet veckor med studiemedel för några länder. I övriga länder gäller den faktiska studietiden som skolan i studielandet ska intyga genom exempelvis utdrag från Internet. 19 Utbetalning Månadsutbetalning - men möjlighet till förskott: Lån till resa och försäkring betalas alltid innan studiestart tidigast tre veckor innan Övriga studiemedel kan betalas ut i förskott som engångsutbetalning vid behov, exempelvis om du måste betala flera hyror förskott. Du måste styrka behovet. Det kommer en fråga i ansökan om du behöver få utbetalning i förskott 19

20 Utbetalning Du måste lämna studieförsäkran inför varje period/termin: Termin 1 på Mina sidor eller i Appen Termin 2 du och skolan skriver under en studieförsäkran Termin 3 på Mina sidor eller i Appen Termin 4 - du och skolan skriver under en studieförsäkran Studieförsäkran kan lämnas tidigast fyra veckor innan nästa termin Studieförsäkran skickas till dig i god tid innan 20

21 Tips och råd Skaffa e-legitimation om du inte har det! Använd gärna mobilt bank id och CSN:s App Studieresultat Se till att du får med dig dina resultat/betyg från studielandet innan du åker hem Anmäl ändringar Meddela alla ändringar i dina studier på en gång till CSN 21

22 Tips och råd Om du läser utomlands endast en termin. Ansök om studiemedel för två terminer även om ditt utbytesprogram endast är en termin. Sjukdom Meddela ALLTID CSN! Skaffa läkarintyg från första sjukdagen. 22

33 LADOK In order to be officially registered for exchange studies: Hand/send in exact semester dates (Letter of Acceptance or printed dates from website) to the International Coordinator at your faculty/department/school ASAP, BEFORE you leave You will then be registered for exchange studies in LADOK in due time CSN can access LADOK directly, no need for signed documents

43 STUDENT-UT INSURANCE All outgoing exchange students are insured by Kammarkollegiet s insurance Student- UT during their semester abroad provided that: You are registered as an exchange student in LADOK You have notified the International Office your exact semester dates You have received your Insurance Certificate from the International Office Free of charge paid for by Malmö university Valid 14 days before and 14 days after the semester dates SURVIVAL GUIDE PAGE 9 Direct travel Sweden - country of study Valid 24-hours a day in country of study i.e. it is NOT valid in any other country than the country of your host university TWO parts: Health coverage and property/disruption/baggage/liability etc. coverage

Includes EMERGENCY medical and dental care during the policy term Only valid in the host country! SPECIAL INFORMATION: Students going to Australia: We need your Certificate of Enrolment Letter of Acceptance + Send us your visa expiry date once you receive a decision Students going to the USA: Contact Falck Travel Care before going to see a doctor.

46 INSURANCE WITHIN EU/EEA Same coverage as Student UT outside of EU/EEA, except for health care: Bring your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), issued by Försäkringskassan ( or similar social insurance authority in your home country. Be sure to order this in time! 47 STUDENT UT MAKE A CLAIM Claim form and instructions available online: Send with ORIGINAL SIGNATURE together with ORIGINAL doctor s certificates, receipts, police reports etc. Malmö University verifies your status as an exchange student and sends it to Kammarkollegiet who is the authority who handles your claim REMEMBER! First pay, then claim money back be sure to have some spare money with you! (In case of emergency outside of EU/EEA possible to contact Falck Travelcare directly for help. Info on this is printed on your MIC card)

79 WHAT AFFECTS THE BLOOD ALCOHOL CONTENT? FOOD eat properly, before and during drinking WEIGHT body weight affects the blood alcohol level. GENDER woman have generally a lower tolerance due to having lower amount of whater in their bodies. Med dilute to a grater extent. TIME the more you drink in a short amount of time, the higher the blood alcohol level becomes. AMOUNT on a single night, don t drink more than 3-4 glasses to avoid intoxicative consumtion. STRENGTH choose drinks with a low alcohol content.

115 How was it to be away? Expectations: great difference to any place I have ever visited before, language problems Preparation: START EARLY! Visa takes time, also book your flight early so that you save money, ask people that where there before, HOUSING! Course application (3 AM for me) Tips: Get the subway app: Seoul metro is your friends! Take the airport shuttle bus or metro : cheaper and just as convenient, pack strategically! Be prepared that housing is very expensive and tiny!

117 Cultural Encouters Be open minded, If you live by everything is different here you wont get such a culture shock Stick to your buddy and try as many new things as possible Join a team or a club- great to keep you busy and to meet new people Make Korean friends- KUBA or similar groups are great for this.

122 My exchange - From a 1 room apartment to a shared accomadation with 6 spoiled teenagers. - This is the time for be adventorus. - AMAZING!

123 Don t worry, be Happy Breakfast meeting with Rotary Climbed the highest mountain in England! Got stuck in a train, travelled 2 extra stops. People in England are very friendly and helpful!

124 Practical for the exchange * Accomodation- Everything will work out. Search through universities facebook pages, local partners or private accomodation. Private accomodation was the best thing I decided to do. Flights- Look at airports near by. Worcester= Looked both London, Birmingham & Bristol.

125 Packing- The same as the applying part- start weeks in advance. Bring somthing that reminds of home! (You will get homesick) Modules- England, try out of modules 2 weeks, then decide. Me- No changes at the host uni.
