ExcelLoad simulates the maximum forces that may appear during a transport no matter if the transport is carried out in a combination of road, rail and sea transports, or in a single mode. Thereafter, ExcelLoad calculates the most efficient cargo securing arrangement in terms of safety and economy. In addition to the presentation of the most safe and economic solution for the cargo securing arrangement, ExcelLoad can also be used to improve new or existing cargo transport units (CTU s), thus contribute to even further improved cargo securing arrangements. The user only needs to define actual parameters for cargo, CTU, and mode of transport. ExcelLoad easily show the user how to deal with the calculations, which creates the prerequisites to produce a printable lashing protocol. Real photos from the securing arrangement can be pasted onto the lashing protocol to follow the cargo in transit. ExcelLoad is an excellent tool to create good and appreciated lashing instructions although the program increase the knowledge about the intimate parameters such as weight, friction and mode of transport, and how they interact with each other. The interaction between the intimate parameters is clearly shown in graphics which further increase the knowledge about the forces acting on the cargo during transport, and how to prevent the cargo from sliding and/or tipping. In addition to the forces calculated, ExcelLoad also recommend the user about the minimum number of lashings to be used to secure the cargo. The specific lashing protocol can be designed according to our customers need. ExcelLoad as a custom-made software is delivered on a CDROM. A separate license agreement is signed between the parties to ensure the user to always have the latest software by means of updates due to new or modified regulations issued by the authorities within the area of cargo securing.
