How it started Bäckström Anläggning was founded in the spring of 2007, and was originally part of Bäckström Stockholm AB. The aim of the new company was to streamline land development and construction projects, in cooperation with large privately and publicly owned stakeholders in the Stockholm region. The brand Today, Bäckström is a well-known brand with a strong market position, representing long-term solutions and high quality, together with sister company Bäckström Stockholm and its well-known machine resources. Some of our most significant projects up to date We have a long history of being an infrastructure construction contractor to major clients such as Fortum, Nynäs Petroleum, Swedavia and Stockholm Vatten. Stockholm Vatten in cooperation with Scandinavian Biogas has built a new gas refining plant, located behind the existing plant. The new gas plant is put into operation in 2016. Biomass Plant. Fortum has built Sweden s largest biomass plant, producing renewable energy with biofuel. Industrial projects in port site. Nynäs products are produced in different parts of the world. Refineries in Harburg, Göteborg and Nynäshamn are wholly owned and operated by Nynäs. Airport taxiways, runways and gates. Investments in Bromma Airport are necessary in order to meet the airport class 3C requirements. Until today, Bromma Airport has been exempted from these requirements. Bäckström Anläggning has performed the drilling and blasting work, as well as the foundation engineering, and installation of media networks for the new gas refining plant. Bäckström Anläggning s operations included construction work and earthworks, as well as very demanding installation and construction work underground. The solutions were oftentimes very complex, which demanded highly experienced site managers and supervisors with expertise within energy and media networks. Bäckström Anläggning serves the Nynäshamn site with a variety of industrial projects. These projects support Nynäs continuous production, as well as the development and planning of updates and expansions. Bäckström Anläggning is adapting the airport s taxiways and runway shoulders, as well as doing excavation work for a re-construction of the gates. 5
