ARRIVAL Check-In: A Bethel University Athletics Representative will be at the Wiekamp Athletic Center to greet teams two (2) hours prior to scheduled start time. Unloading/Parking: Wiekamp Athletic Center (Basketball/Volleyball): Buses are welcome to unload teams in the front parking lot of the Wiekamp Athletic Center. Once unloading is complete, parking is available both in the East and North lots of the Wiekamp Athletic Center, as well as in the Bethel Athletic Complex parking lot. Bethel Athletic Complex (Baseball/Softball/Soccer/Lacrosse): Buses are welcome to unload teams in main parking lot of the Bethel Athletic Complex. Once unloading is complete, parking is available in the Bethel Athletic Complex parking lot, as well as in the East and North lots of the Wiekamp Athletic Center. Locker Rooms: Locker room assignments at the Wiekamp Athletic Center will be posted on respective doors. A BU Athletics Representative will be available to assist if necessary. Each locker room includes showers, a dry erase board, and full restroom functions. Training Room: A full-size training room will be available for use. Certified Athletic Trainers will be on-site at each athletic event to provide assistance when necessary. Teams with special requests are asked to provide ample notice. Notice can be given through Head Athletic Trainer Sarah Hauck at 574.807.7169. Benches: Bench assignments are unique to individual sports; teams will be notified by a BU Athletics Representative as to specific bench assignments. Water Coolers: Water and cups will be provided for each bench. Ice is also available upon request. Additional beverages will be available in the concession stands located in the respective facilities. Tickets: Compimentary tickets will not be available for visiting fans. Admission is $8 for adults, $2 for seniors and school-aged children (K-12) and free for college students with ID and children five (5) and under. VISITOR S GUIDE - 3

DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTH From US 31 Take Cleveland Road exit #72. Turn left on Cleveland Road and travel east 5.6 miles. Turn right on Bus 31/933 (traffic light) and continue south 2 miles. Turn left on Angela Boulevard (traffic light) and continue east approximately 3 miles (Angela becomes Edison Road). Turn right on Hickory Road (traffic light) and continue south 1 mile. The main entrance will be on your left. From Grand Rapids Follow the Indiana Toll Road 80/90 West. Exit at the Mishawaka exit #83. At the stop sign, turn right on Capital Avenue and continue 0.3 miles following signs to SR 23. Turn left on SR 23 (traffic light) and proceed west 1.6 miles. Turn left on Main Street (traffic light) and continue south 3.2 miles. Turn right on McKinley Avenue (traffic light) and proceed west 0.8 miles. Turn left on Logan Street (traffic light). The main entrance will be on your left. FROM THE SOUTH From US 31 Take the US 20 bypass east toward Elkhart and continue 4 miles. Exit at the Mishawaka/Bremen-331S exit. At the exit ramp light, turn left and travel north 4 miles on Union Street (which becomes Church Street and then becomes Main Street). Turn left on McKinley Avenue (traffic light) and continue west 0.8 miles. Turn left on Logan Street (traffic light). The main entrance will be on your left. From SR 19 Take the US 20 bypass west toward South Bend. Exit at the Mishawaka/Bremen-331S exit. At the end of the exit ramp turn right and travel north 4 miles on Union Street (which becomes Church Street and then becomes Main Street). SPORTS INFORMATION The Bethel University Sports Information Department will oversee the following items: Statistics: Bethel University Athletics staff will oversee statistical work for all home events. Media: Requests for media credentials must be made 24 hours prior to the scheduled event by contacting the Sports Information office. Any opponent wishing to broadcast via audio must notify the Sports Information office one week in advance of the event. Pre- and post-game interview requests should be made with the Sports Information Director. Reporting: The results of all BU athletic events are reported to the Crossroads League and various media outlets. To be included on the list of media outlets, visit bupilots.com/sidhelp/form/36.php. Game Taping: The visiting coach or SID should notify the BU Sports Information office 24 hours in advance. Designating taping areas will be disclosed upon request. Website Coordination: All athletic events and information directly relating to Bethel University athletic teams will be coordinated and made public through the school s athletic website. ATHLETIC TRAINING On behalf of the Bethel University Athletic Department, we would like to welcome you and your athletes to our facility. We would like to make your stay an enjoyable one and our athletic training staff is here for your assistance. The following supplies and services will be available to your athletes and staff: Athletic training room facilities are located in the Wiekamp Athletic Center. Facilities will be available at least 90 minutes prior to an event. If you need access to this facility prior to these times, plese let our staff know prior to your visit. Taping areas are available to traveling teams. We request that you please provide your team with the necessary supplies for treatment (tape, ace bandages, etc.). Water, cups, ice, and bags will be provided on the visiting team becnh for soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, and lacrosse. Please plan to provide your own water bottles and towels for the bench and showering. Athletic training staff will be on site two (2) hours prior to the scheduled start of competition. They will be on site for swimming and diving at the Elkhart Aquatics Center at least one (1) hour prior. They will not be on site at junior varsity competitions. In order for us to make the necessary arrangements and provide coverage for your team, please notify our staff in advance if your team will be traveling without a Certified Athletic Trainer. Treatment of pre-existing injuries will only be given by our staff with prior written consent from the visiting team s certified athletic training staff or supervising physician. With the written consent, please indicate each athlete s treatment protocol. This applies to any team traveling without a Certified Athletic Trainer. If any special requests or accomodations are needed, please contact our staff in advance. We hope to make your team s visit to Bethel University as enjoyable as possible.
