Adapting cities to climate induced risks a coordinated approach Formas. Energimyndigheten, Naturvårdsverket, Riksantikvarieämbetet, Trafikverket Norra Masthugget och Frihamnen Forsåker Avslutas 2012
Objectives To develop methods and knowledge to be applied to Swedish cities to manage climate induced risks and to improve their resilience towards climate change. Specific objectives: 1) analyse the role of land use, vegetation and urban morphology for reducing climate change induced effects and risks (floods, landslides, heat waves, extreme air pollution events) 2) evaluate socio-economical impacts 3) develop and propose innovative adaptation strategies. By introducing knowledge and research normally not integrated at an early stage in the planning process, goal conflicts and synergies between different aspects can be identified and implemented.
