5. Nya affärsmodeller Sverige behöver draglok!

"Virgin territory, where you can begin from the beginning and propose 'Swedish' solutions, is virtually non-existent. " Anders Rydergren (Sweco) "Sweden is a small country. With a limited number of companies it is vital that they work together." Brita Saxton (ITPS) "It is important that Swedish companies hunt as a pack." Thomas Davidsson (Scandinavian Biogas) "Allow the needs of environmental companies to be the controlling factor and put them in the driving seat when it comes to designing support measures at present the world is the other way around!" Lennart Gustafsson (Götaverken Miljö AB)

Aim and purpous of the project The overall purpose of the project is to create job opportunities in Sweden and increase Swedish export of sustainable services and products within waste and recycling. 'Products' refers to technology and physical products and 'services' refers to 'software' such as management, consulting and research.
Obstacles to increased exports Knowledge transfer Co ordination Financing 1.Knowledge of different export markets is low and there is a lack of channels into those markets. 2.It is difficult to find the right sales channels and networks. 3.Knowledge of experience, sales channels and level of know how among collaborating organisations and players is low. 4.Difficult to find good partners abroad. 5.Difficult to find competent personnel. 6.Lack of experience/knowledge (of, for example, rules and the foreign market). 1.Large contracting parties are often sought which, among other things, makes the prospect of doing business more difficult for Swedish enterprises in general and small enterprises in particular. 2.At present there is a lack of coordination and a body that can assume total responsibility for waste issues in Sweden. 3.There is a lack of major Swedish organisations and agencies that can function as a 'locomotive' for small enterprises. 4.The small domestic market, which makes companies' expansion on a relatively known domestic market more difficult. 1. There is a considerable need for initial financing in order to generate up front work. 2. Need for support for reference projects. 3. Need to spread the risk. 4. Companies lack time and capital.
Internationalisation strategy 1. Building up networks and co-ordination 2. Effective export support 3. Good display window for Swedish waste and recycling technology 4. Commercialisation and innovation 5. New business models
