FNs klimatpanel om stigande havsnivåer i januari 2007: The sea level will rise 18-59 cm until 2100 + some 20 cm for local effects in the North Sea Dynamical processes related to ice flow not included in current models but suggested by recent observations could increase the vulnerability of the ice sheets to warming, increasing future sea level rise. Understanding of these processes is limited and there is no consensus on their magnitude. May lead to additional 20 cm 5
Local differences in sea level change Figure 10.32. Local sea level change (m) due to ocean density and circulation change relative to the global average (i.e., positive values indicate greater local sea level change than global) during the 21st century, calculated as the difference between averages for 2080 to 2099 and 1980 to 1999, as an ensemble mean over 16 AOGCMs forced with the SRES A1B scenario. Stippling denotes regions where the magnitude of the multimodel ensemble mean divided by the multi-model standard deviation exceeds 6 1.0.

Copenhagen diagnosis (november 2009) Climate Change Research Centre vid University of New South Wales, i Sydney, Australien Sea-level predictions revised: By 2100, global sea-level is likely to rise at least twice as much as projected by Working Group1 of the IPCC AR4; for unmitigated emissions it may well exceed 1 meter. The upper limit has been estimated as ~ 2 meters sea level rise by 2100. Sea level will continue to rise for centuries after global temperatures have been stabilized, and several meters of sea level rise must be expected over the next few centuries. 19
NOAA:s svar på frågor i den amerikanska kongressen rörande klimatförändringar (uppdaterat i november 2009) More recent research has provided additional insights into the potential contributions to sea level rise from the accelerated flow of ice sheets to the sea and to estimate sea level based on the observed relationship between sea level and temperature. Estimates of sea level rise based on these new scientific insights exceed those of the IPCC with the average estimates for sea level rise under higher emission scenarios at between 3 and 4 feet. 20
Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency PBL, Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute KNMI och Wageningen University and Research Centre WUR (november 2009) For 2100, a plausible and physically-based high-end projection for average global sea level rise is higher than the global estimates reported by the IPCC AR4, being 0.25 to 0.76 metres (for the A1FI scenario), relative to 1990 levels, versus 0.55 to 1.1 metres, implying a rise along the Dutch coast of 0.40 to 1.05 metres. 21
