PROHIBITION COCKTAILS Våra fördrinkar har sitt ursprung kring det glada 20-talet under jazzerans gyllene dagar, också känt som förbudstiden. Our pre dinner cocktails originates from the time around the Roaring Twenties under the Jazz Age golden days, also known as the Prohibition era. EL PRESIDENTE Havana Club 7yo, Lillet Blanc, Cointreau & grenadine.... 145:- Förmodligen kom El Presidente till för att hedra den kubanske presidenten Mario García Menocal. Mario var känd för att gärna ta sig ett par cocktails. Denna cocktail blev snabbt populär och spred sig till USA där man både drack den illegalt under förbudstiden och legalt därefter. It is believed that El Presidente was made in honor of the then Cuban president Mario García Menocal. Mario was known to have a cocktail or two. El Presidente grew quickly in popularity and the word spread to US where you would both drink it illegally during Prohibition, and legally thereafter. CADILLAC Campari, Antica Formula & Champagne.....................145:- Cadillac är vår egen twist på cocktailen Americano, som är en tidlös klassiker från mitten på 1800-talet. Att twista en Americano har man gjort väldigt ofta, en känd variant är Negroni. Negronin byter ut sodavatten mot gin och vi följer samma spår och byter ut sodavatten mot champagne, för en lyxigare och rikare smakprofil. The Cadillac is our own twist on the Americano, a timeless classic from mid 1800s. Making a twist on the Americano is not a new thing, one well known variant is the Negroni. The Negroni swaps the soda water for gin and we follow the same route, swapping the soda water for champagne for a more luxurious and richer taste profile. CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL Perrier-Jouet, Angostura Bitter & brown sugar....145:- Den publicerades i en av världens första cocktailböcker, The Bon Vivant s Companion. Om ålder, auktoritet och uthållighet är signaturegenskaper för att vara majestätlig, så är det här cocktailens kung. It was first published in one of the worlds first cocktail books The Bon Vivant s Companion. If age, authority & persistence are signature traits for royalty, then this is the King of Cocktails. THE LAST WORD.........................................145:- Hernö Navy Strength Gin, Luxardo Maraschino, Green Chartreuse & lime Last Word kom till 1915, var populär under förbudstiden men dog sedan sakta ut. Tills år 2004 då bartendern Murray Stenson väckte den till liv igen. Denna cocktail ses som en favorit speciellt hos bartenders och andra restaurangmänniskor. The Last Word came to in 1915 and saw some popularity, it was drunk during Prohibition but soon faded away, up until 2004 when bartender Murray Stenson brought it back to life. This cocktail is a favorite among bartenders and other industry people. HIBISKUS COLLINS Beefeater Gin, lemon, hibiscus-flavored sugar & soda.... 145:- 1876 publicerades första receptet på denna otroliga drink som idag fortfarande är mycket populär. Britten John Collins använde ett liknande recept, med Old Tom Gin. I vår twist har vi infuserat sockret med hibiskus för att ge denna simpla drink lite mer komplexitet, en något blommig underton och fantastisk röd färg. 1876 the recipe for this drink was first published and it still sees immense popularity to this day. However British bartender John Collins made a similar recipe using Old Tom Gin. Our twist of this simple drink infuses hibiscus with sugar to give the drink a bit more complexity, adding a note of blossom and a lovely red colour. Eller varför inte bara ett glas champagne? Sanningen är att mexikanarna gärna svalkar sig med en Changuirongotequila med vilken läskedryck du än har till hands. Paloma är en klassisk Changuirongo. The Margarita has long been thought to be the national drink of Mexico because of its increbible staying power as one of the worlds most popular drinks. Truth be told most Mexicans themselves would rather have a Changuirongo- Tequila and whatever carbonated soft drink handy. Paloma is a classic Changuirongo. KABARÉ Vanilla-infused Purity Vodka, Xanté, lemon, sugar & champagne.... 145:- Vår Kabaré är en långsökt twist på en Pornstar Martini, där bara själva idén är bevarad. Den populära aspekten med drinken är att den serveras med ett litet glas champagne. Our Kabaré is a far-fetched twist on the Pornstar Martini with really only the idea behind it kept. The popular aspect of the drink is the side-serving of a small glass of champagne. EL ALMA DE OAXACA... 145:- Coffee-infused Mezcal, cointreau, lime, sugar, home-made foam with chili & licorice Oaxacafolket har under lång tid jobbat med mezcal. Denna cocktail är menad att hedra den indianska urbefolkningen i Oaxaca. Para todo mal, mezcal, y para todo bien, también. The Oaxacan people have for a long time of period worked with mezcal. This cocktail is our attribution to the native people of oaxaca. Para todo mal, mezcal, y para todo bien, también. VIN MARIANI... 145:- Calvados, Beefeater Gin, Antica formula, beetroot simple syrup & white chocolate foam 1863 framtogs ett rött vin med kokablad av Angelo Mariani. Detta vin blev så pass känt att till och med påven tilldelade Vatikanens guldmedalj till vinet. Vår cocktail är döpt efter det kända vinet men självklart utan kokablad. Den är söt, smakrik och sitter fint efter maten. In 1863 Angelo Mariani created a type of red wine with coca leaves. His wine grew so much in popularity that Pope awarded the wine with the Vatican gold medal. This is our cocktail named after the famous wine but of course without the coca leaves. This is a sweet and flavorful cocktail to have after dinner.
