PRESIDENT S MESSAGE Summer is here and the beaches will be filling up, time for barbecues, sunbathing, and concerts at the Gazebo. June is a busy month at the Narragansett Center. Our Installation Luncheon will be held at the Laurel Lanes Country Club on Rte. 138 in West Kinston. For those who need transportation or who wish not to drive, the Trolley will be available. Please call 782-0675 for reservations for both Trolley and Luncheon. Trips for the month will be : Foxwoods, Tall Ships and The Newport Playhouse. Project Linus is a 100% volunteer, nonprofit, national organization with a twofold mission. Donate new, homemade blankets to comfort children who are seriously ill or traumatized or otherwise in need of a gift of comfort or a hug. These blankets are generously crafted by volunteers. They are distributed by Project Linus to neighborhood hospitals, shelters, social service agencies and even police departments. In a effort to make this initiative a successful effort, we are asking all interested parties to drop off all blankets at the arragansett Community Center between 8:30am 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
