RTCA DO229D MOPS (Min Ops Perf Stds) for WAAS 2.1.1.1.4.9 Message Timeout Periods For approach LNAV/VNAV, LP, and LPV when no valid SBAS message has been received for 4 seconds, all UDREI data from that WAAS/EGNOS satellite shall timeout. Timeout interval for UDREI when used for Approach (LNAV/VNAV, LP, and LPV) is 12 seconds. Integrity warning when receiver is used for approach LNAV/VNAV, LP, and LPV is 6 seconds (= samma som för ILS CAT I) Således kan ett kort avbrott i signalen ske utan att navigationen påverkas. Men en Loss of Integrity varning visas för piloten. Och detta kan ställa till problem. Se nästa bild.
EASA CRD to NPA 2009-04 AMC 20-28 SBAS Appendix 3: LPV Approach Operational Procedures 1.3 During the Procedure The system provides lateral and vertical guidance relative to the LPV Final Approach Segment or to the extended final approach segment (for the direct transition). The crew must check that the GNSS approach mode indicates LPV (or an equivalent annunciation) 2 NM before the FAP. Prior to passing the FAP, the procedure must be discontinued or may be continued to LNAV minima when supported by the system if there is: Loss of integrity/loss of Navigation is indicated by a warning annunciator (e.g. absence of power, equipment failure). After passing the FAP, the procedure must be discontinued, unless the aircraft is still above 1 000 ft AGL, the pilot may decide to continue the approach to LNAV minima. Således viktigt att inte få en Loss of Integrity varning efter passage av 2 NM före FAP (Final Approach Point = där glidbanan börjar). Vid insväng till inflygningslinjen från norr kan behov finnas för cirka 0,5-1 NM längre anflygning jfrt med insväng från söder!
