The 2030-Agenda Committee The task is to: provide the government with a proposal of a national action plan / roadmap for Sweden s implementation anchor the SDGs through an inclusive dialog with state agencies, regions, municipalities, the labour market, business, civil society and the research community Support information sharing and knowledge exchange between these actors and relevant international actors
Working through mapping and dialogue Where is Sweden standing today in its performance How do the goals translate into the Swedish context Where is the gaps and conflicts of interests How to transform conflicts of interests to synergies Provide a roadmap for Swedish implementation
What have we found so far Sweden needs a national strategy for sustainable development International trends affect: center vs periphery Importance of multilevel governance and a cross-sectorial approach Data, statistics and research is key for evidence based policy The regional and local level have in many ways come further than the national level Parts of the business community is in the front and is driving development through innovation and technology Civil society is key for public awareness, social innovation and political accountability Children and youth girls and young women stands in the center of sustainability
