Welcome and Introduction Suzanne S. Schüttemeyer, the president of ECPSA, welcomes the participants in London. She thanks Richard Topf, the host of the meeting at London Metropolitan University, and Neil Collins for the support of the PSA UK.

Approval of the minutes of the meeting in Valencia The minutes of the meeting in Valencia, which had been previously distributed among the members, are approved. 3. Report on the development of ECPSA Felix Wurm reports on the development of ECPSA. He informs the members present about the Political Science Associations (PSAs) that have joined the ECPSA so far (23) and those which had shown interest in doing so but had not yet declared membership formally (6). See the list below. 4. Role of National Associations The members discuss the very different roles of national associations in their respective country. To get a better idea about the different PSAs it is agreed upon to update the questionnaire that had been sent to all members by Connor McGrath in 2007. The goals of the ECPSA are discussed once more. A major aim is to deal with the Bologna Process and student mobility. Richard Topf informs about the European Political Science Networtk (epsnet). 5. Synopsis of the survey on civic education and first evaluation &

Synopsis of the survey on BA/MA-programs and first evaluation Suzanne Schüttemeyer presents her synopses of the survey on BA/MA-programs and of the survey on civic education and explains her evaluations. So far files from 19 member associations are available. Some of the ECPSA members have provided a synopsis on BA/MA-Programmes and the questionnaire on the state of civic education in their respective country. Some of the associations have so far only turned in one of the two lists. The results of the surveyes are discussed. 8. Reform of the Bologna Process & Accreditation The problems concerning the reform are discussed. We will try to find a person in each member country, who reports on the problems with the Bologna Process. Suzanne Schüttemeyer will prepare a template for such a report. 9. Career patterns for political science university teachers and researchers Suzanne Schüttemeyer will contact Didier Georgakakis to sound out the possibility to obtain a grant from the European Commission for a survey on the careers of graduates from political science in ECPSA member countries. 10. Student mobility in Europe This topic will be discussed at the next meeting. 11. Contract for granting mutual benefits between associations Suzanne and Felix present a list of possible mutual benefits. The following rights and benefits will be discussed by the participants with their associations: a) equal conference fees; suggesting panels to conferences; b) equal discounts on books and journals; c) equal access to information in intranets (on individual request); d) annual methodological school in Spain open to others (summer schools); e) external evaluators; f) Spanish positions for foreign professors. 12. Miscellaneous The next general meeting shall take place at the end of September or in the first half of October 2010. The German Association offers to pay for accommodation and dinner for all participants. As usual, travel expenses have to be covered by the different associations themselves.
