Datorn kommer nu att registrera minneskortet som Flyttbar disk. OBS! Minneskortsadaptern kan vändas fel vid insättning i USB-porten. 3. Skapa en mapp på minneskortet och namnge mappen Autocopy. 4. Skapa en ny mapp i mappen Autocopy och namnge det Flashdisk. Gå vidare på samma sätt tills följande sökväg har skapats. AutoCopy\FlashDisk\Gewa\Omni\user\default\images\MY OWN PICTURES. 5. Flytta nu över bilden till mappen My own pictures på minneskortet. 6. Ta bort minneskortsadaptern från USB-porten. 7. Ta bort SD-minneskortet från USB-adaptern och sätt in minneskortet i minneskortsläsaren i Control Omni. Control Omni kommer nu automatiskt att kopiera bilden till rätt kategori (My own pictures) i Control Omni. För att kunna använda bilden i Control Omn i se avsnitt Lägga in egna bilder. I samma stund som man sätter i minneskortet kopieras bilderna. Ingen feedback ges. En handfull bilder tar bara några sekunder. Bildformatet måste vara PNG (Portable Network Graphics). Bildskärmsupplösningen i Control Omni är 320x320 pixlar och bilderna är förminskade för att passa varje enskild knapp. 3(20)

Rekommenderad bildstorlek är 150x150 pixlar eller mindre. Använd vit bakgrund för att få bilden genomskinlig och en rekommendation är att använda 24-bitars färgdjup. Använd ett bildbehandlingsprogram för att skala ner och konvertera bilderna, t.ex. Paint.Net som är ett gratisprogram. 1.3 Bilderna ser konstiga ut som jag lagt in i Control Omni Om man använder bildbehandlingsprogrammet Paint som medföljer Microsoft Windows så får bilderna en randig bakgrund. Använd något annat bildbehandlingsprogram t.ex. Paint.net eller Photoshop. 1.4 Hur kan jag lägga till extra ringsignaler I Control Omni? OBS! 1. Sätt i Micro SD-kortet i minneskortsadaptern. Micro SD-kortet och minneskortsadaptern medföljer Control Omni. 2. Anslut minneskortsadaptern till USB-porten på datorn. Datorn kommer nu att registrera minneskortet som Flyttbar disk. OBS! Control Omni kommer nu automatiskt att kopiera ringsignalsfilen (wav) till rätt kategori (ringtones) i Control Omni. I samma stund som man sätter i minneskortet kopieras filerna. Ingen feedback ges. En handfull ringsignaler tar bara några sekunder. Ljudfilen måste vara wav. 4(20)

1.5 Personen som ringer upp Control Omni hör ett eko Personen som ringer upp Control Omni hör ett eko av sin egen röst. Ljudvolymen för hörtelefonen och mikrofonen i Control Omni är satt för högt. Minskas volymerna så försvinner problemet. För att ändra ljudvolymen följ sökväg: Telefon Ljud Volymer 1.6 Hur många telefonnummer kan jag lägga in I Kontaktlistan. Det finns ingen begränsning men om man har många kontakter så kommer Control Omni att gå långsamt och det kommer att bli svårt att välja telefonnummer. 1.7 Jag vill kunna demonstrera Control Omni på en stor bildskärm Det finns ett speciellt program som heter Remote Display Control ver 2.03 som man kan använda för att kunna få upp Control Omnis bildskärm på datorn. Programmet finns att hämtas hem från internet. Klicka på länken eller kopiera länken till en sökmotor på internet. http://files.toradex.com/colibri/wince/colibri_software/remotedisplay/remot edisplay.zip Klicka på CeRHost och extrahera den till datorns skrivbord. Man behöver en USB-kabel för att koppla in Control Omni till datorn. Kabeln (429040 Control Omni USB-kabel) kan beställas från Abilia AB. Anslut Control Omni till datorn. Vi rekommenderar att kabeln ansluts mellan USB-portarna på dockningsstationen och datorn. Datorn kommer nu att känna av att man har kopplat in Control Omni till dator. Win 7 En skärmbild med Windows Mobile Center kommer nu upp. Det skall stå att 5(20)

Control Omni är ansluten. Är den inte ansluten nu så är det ingen ide att fortsätta. (Kontrollera kabeln och testa på en annan USB-port på datorn. Man kan också testa att koppla till USB-porten direkt på Control Omni.) Stäng ner skärmsidan genom att klicka på krysset i övre högra hörnet. Klicka på CeRHost som du sparat på datorns skrivbord. Vänta på att Remote Display Control startas upp och visar Control Omnis skärmbilden på datorn. Klicka OK när följande skärmbild visas. Nu är det klart att styra Control Omni från datorns bildskärm. WinVista För att kontrollera att Control Omni är ansluten så kan man gå in i Kontrollpanelen och klicka på Center för windows enheter. 6(20)

1.8 Är det möjligt att ladda Control Omni från rullstolen? Nej. Control Omni är bara tested och garanterad att fungera med laddare typ GEW100. Ingen annan laddare eller strömförsörjning får anslutas. Control Omni har testats enligt Medicinteknisk standard IEC 60601-1 utgåva 3. Arbete pågår för att ta fram en laddare för att strömförsörja från rullstol. 1.9 Är det möjligt att använda högtalar-funktion i Control Omni när man ringer? Nej, ingen högtalarfunktion finns inlagd i Control Omni. 1.10 Jag har problem med att lära in knappen för att justera volymen på en TV och knappen för att välja TV-kanaler. Ibland kan det vara svårt att lära in dessa funktioner, det kan vara så att man t.ex. bara ökar volymen ett steg för varje gång som man trycker på fjärrkontrollen. Använder man då skanning så måste man börja om från början med skanningen vilket gör det tidsödande. När man lär in, så gör man istället en kort tryckning tvärt emot vad det står på Control Omnis skärm och man gör det 3 ggr. 1.11 Hur kan jag kontrollera att det ligger ett Home ID i Control Omni för GewaRadio (Z-wave) 1. Anslut Control Omni till Datorns USB-ingång. 2. Gå till datorns utforskare och klicka dig fram enligt följande sökväg: 3. Dator\ControlOmni\FlashDisk\Gewa\Omni\SYSTEM\DATA 4. Klicka på zwmanager. (OBS! Rör inget i filerna) 5. Kontrollera att HomeID har ett nummer, t.ex 0133D8C8. 8(20)

1.12 Att återställ HomeID (Gewa Radio)till fabriksinställning Om man har tagit en backup från en annan Control Omni så följer HomeID med till nästa enhet. Vilket innebär att det finns två enheter med samma HomeID. För att återställa Control Omni till sin ursprungliga HomeID så gör man på följande sätt. 1. Anslut Control Omni till Datorns USB-ingång. 2. Gå till datorns utforskare och klicka dig fram enligt följande sökväg: 3. Dator\ControlOmni\FlashDisk\Gewa\Omni\User\Default\data 4. Radera filen zwmanager. 5. Starta om Control Omni. 1.13 Ta bort SMS, prediktionsfil och kontaktinformation från en backup. När man gör en backup så sparas kontaktinformation, SMS-meddelande och prediktionslista i backupfilen. Om man nu vill använda backupfilen till en annan brukare så vill man inte att personlig information skall föras över till nästa brukare, t.ex kontaktinformation. Man kan då ta bort denna information från backupen. För att ta bort personlig information gör enligt följande: 1. Gör en backup till minneskortet i Control Omni. 2. Ta ur minneskortet från Control Omni. 3. Sätt i minneskortet i minneskortsadaptern. Minneskortsadaptern medföljer Control Omni. 4. Anslut minneskortsadaptern till USB-porten på datorn. Datorn kommer nu att registrera minneskortet som Flyttbar disk. OBS! Minneskortsadaptern kan vändas fel vid insättning i USB-porten. 5. Gå till mappen gewa/omni/backup/data. (Gör gärna en kopia på mappen gewa och spara den på datorn som extra säkerhet) 9(20)

6. Under mappen data finns mapparna, addressbook, Omni, prediction, smsmessage och zwmanager. Ta bort mapparna addressbook, prediction och smsmessage. 7. Ta nu ur adaptern med minneskortet från datorn. 8. Förbered nästa Control Omni genom att göra en återställning till fabriksinställning. 9. Sätt i minneskortet i Control Omni och gör en återställning. 1.14 Jag kan inte göra backup, SD-kortläsaren verkar vara sönder. Det är möjligt att göra backup även om det inte är går att gör en vanlig backup med SD-kortet, t.ex. om SD-kortläsaren är sönder. 1. Anslut Control Omni till datorn. Se avsnitt hur man gör 1.7 2. Följ länken i datorns filhanterare: Dator\ControlOmni\FlashDisk\Gewa\Omni\user\default. 3. Kopiera mappen default. Mappen default innehåller användarens alla inställningar och har samma information som man får på SD-kortet när man gör en backup. 4. Om man vill använda filen för att lägga den på ett SD-kort så måste man ändra filnamnet från default till backup. Om du vill lägga filen på en SD-kort som är anslutet till USB-porten på datorn så gör man enligt följande: 5. Placera mappen backup i mappen omni på SD-kortet. 1.15 Control Omni slutar att sända en IR-signal efter ca 10 sek. När man håller ner en manöverkontakt eller trycker direkt på skärmen för att sända en IR-signal så slutar Control Omni att sända efter ca 10 sek. Detta är en säkerhetsfunktion för att man inte av misstag skall sända en för lång IR-signal. Från mjukvaruversion 1.1.8. är denna funktion ändrad till 60 sek. Uppgradera Control Omni till senaste version om detta är ett behov. 1.16 Funktionen Samtal väntar fungerar ej Control Omni stöder ej funktionen Samtal väntar vid användning av mobiltelefon. Rekommendation är att stänga av denna funktion hos mobiltelefonoperatören. 11(20)

Insert the Micro memory card into the memory card adapter. The Micro memory card and adapter is enclosed in the package for Control Omni. 2. Connect the adapter to the USB port on the computer. The computer will now register the memory card as a movable disc. Note! The memory card adapter might be turned in wrongly when inserted in the USB port. 3. Create a folder on the memory card and name the folder AutoCopy. 4. Create a new folder in the AutoCopy folder and name it FlashDisk. Go on in the same way until you have the following path. AutoCopy\FlashDisk\Gewa\Omni\user\default\images\MY OWN PICTURES. 5. Transfer the image to the folder My own pictures on the memory card. 6. Remove the memory card adapter form the USB port. 7. Remove the memory card from the adapter and insert the memory card to the SD-card reader in Control Omni. Control Omni will now automatically copy the images to the correct category (My own pictures) in Control Omni. To use the image in Control Omni, see section Adding images in the Manual Control Omni. Note! At the moment, unfortunately, there is no feedback on the copy procedure or when it is finished. I.e. a handful of pictures takes just a couple of seconds. 12(20)

The image type must be PNG (Portable Network Graphics). The screen resolution on the Control Omni is 320x240 pixels. And the image is down stretched to fit on a selected button. So a recommended image size is approx. 150x150 pixels or less. Use white background to get the image transparent and it's recommended to use 24-bit colour depth. Use an image editor to downscale and convert your pictures. An example of such image application is the freeware Paint.NET. 2.3 The images look strange that I put into Control Omni If you use the image editing software Paint which comes with Microsoft Windows, may form a striped background. Use another image editing software such as Paint.net or Photoshop. 2.4 How can I add extra ringtones to Control Omni? 1. Insert the Micro memory card into the memory card adapter. The Micro memory card and adapter is enclosed in the package for Control Omni. 2. Connect the adapter to the USB port on the computer. The computer will now register the memory card as a movable disc. Note! The memory card adapter might be turned in wrongly when inserted in the USB port. 3. The soundfile type must be WAV. 2.5 The person who is calling Control Omni hear an echo The person who is calling Control Omni may hear an echo of his own voice. The volume of the earphone and microphone on Control Omni is set too high. Reduced volume will disappear the problem. Change the sound volume by the following procedure: Telefon Ljud Volymer 2.6 How many telephone numbers can I put in the Contact list? There is no limit but if you have to many contacts it will slow down Control Omni and it will also be too complicated to choose the numbers. 2.7 I want to demonstrate Control Omni on a big screen You can find a software program with the name Remote Display Control ver 2.03 that can be used to install the display of Control Omni on the computer The software can be found on the Internet. Click on på CeRHost or copy it to extract it to the computer desktop. http://files.toradex.com/colibri/wince/colibri_software/remotedisplay/remot edisplay.zip You need a USB- cable to connect Control Omni with the computer. The cable (429040 Control Omni USB cable) can be ordered from Abilia AB. Connect Control Omni to the computer. We recommend you to connect the cable between the USB-ports on the docking station and the computer. The computer will now detect that Control Omni has been connected. 14(20)

Win 7 A screenshot of Windows Mobile Center will now appear. It should state that Control Omni now has been connected. If it has not been connected do not continue. (Check the cable and try to connect it to another USB-port on the computer. You can also try to connect it directly to the USB-port on Control Omni.) Shut down the screen page by clicking the X in the upper right corner. Click CeRHost saved on the desktop. Wait for the Remote Display Control to start and to show the Control Omni screenshot on the computer. Click OK when the following screenshot is shown. It is now possible to control Control Omni from the computer screen. 15(20)

WinVista To check that Control Omni is connected enter the Control Panel and click Center för windows units. If it has not been connected do not continue. (Check the cable and try to connect it to another USB-port on the computer. You can also try to connect it directly to the USB-port on Control Omni.) Shut down the screen page by clicking the X in the upper right corner. Click CeRHost saved on the desktop. Wait for the Remote Display Control to start and to show the Control Omni screenshot on the computer. Click OK when the following screenshot is shown. Control Omni can now be controlled from the screen. 16(20)

2.8 Is it possible to charge Control Omni from the wheelchair? No. The Control Omni is only tested and guaranteed to work with battery charger type GEW 100. It is not allowed to use any other charger or power supply. The Control Omni product has passed the medical standard IEC60601-1, edition Work has started to find a solution for charging from the wheelchair. 2.9 Is it possible to use speaker phone function when calling? No, no speaker phone functionality is implemented in Control Omni. 2.10 I have problems to program the button to adjust the volume on a TV and the button to choose TV-channels. It is sometimes difficult to program these functions, you might just increase the volume one step every time you press the remote control. If scanning is used you have to restart from the beginning with the scanning which becomes timeconsuming. When programming, make 3 quick presses quite contrary to what it says on the screen on Control Omni. 2.11 How can I check that there is an Home ID in Omni for GewaRadio (Zwave) 1. Connect Control Omni to the USB-port on the computer. 2. Go to the explorer of the computer and click forward by the following procedure: 3. Computer\ControlOmni\FlashDisk\Gewa\Omni\SYSTEM\DATA 4. Click on zwmanager. (Note! Don t touch anything in the files) 5. Check that HomeID has got a number, for instance 0133D8C8. 17(20)

2.12 To reset HomeID (Gewa Radio) to factory default If a backup has been made from another Control Omni the HomeID will be transferred to the next unit, which means there are two units with the same HomeID. To reset Control Omni to its original HomeID do as follows: 1. Connect Control Omni to the USB-port on the computer. 2. Go to the explorer on the computer and click forward by the following procedure: 3. Computer\ControlOmni\FlashDisk\Gewa\Omni\User\Default\data 4. Delete the file zwmanager. 5. Restart Control Omni. 2.13 Remove SMS, prediction file and contact information from a backup. When making a backup, contact information, SMS-messages and the prediction list are saved in the backup file. If you want to use the backup file for another user, you do not want private information to be transferred to the next user, eg. contact information. On such occasions, this information can be erased from the backup. To erase private information do as follows: 1. Make a backup to the memory card in Control Omni. 2. Remove the memory card from Control Omni. 3. Insert the memory card into the memory card adapter. The memory card adapter is included with Control Omni. 4. Connect the memory card adapter to the USB-port on the computer. The computer will now register the memory card as Removable disk. Note! The memory card adapter can easily be turned wrongly when inserted into the i USB-port. 18(20)

5. Go the the folder gewa/omni/backup/data. (We recommend you to make a copy of the folder gewa and save it on the computer for extra security) 6. In the folder data there are the folders, address book, Omni, prediction, smsmessage and zwmanager. Erase the folders address book, prediction and smsmessage. 7. Remove the adapter with the memory card from the computer. 8. Prepare the next Control Omni by making a reset to factory default. 9. Insert the memory card into Control Omni and make a restore. 2.14 I can t make a backup, the SD card reader seems to be broken. It is possible to make a backup even if you not are able to make an ordinary backup with the SD card, e.g. the SD card reader is broken. 1. Connect Control Omni to the computer. See section 2.7 2. Follow the link in the computer s file manager: Computer\ControlOmni\FlashDisk\Gewa\Omni\user\default 3. Copy the folder Default. The folder Default contains all the user settings and have the same information you get on the SD-card when you make a backup. 4. If you want to use the file to put on a SD card, you need to change the name Default to Backup. If you want to put the file on a SD card which is connected to the USB port on the computer, proceed as follows: 5. Place the folder Backup in the folder Omni, on the SD-card. 2.15 Control Omni stops transmitting an IR-signal after approx. 10 sec. When pressing a control switch or touching the screen directly to transmit an IRsignal Control Omni stops transmitting after approx. 10 sec. This is a safety feature that you may not accidently transmit a too long IR-signal. From SW version 1.1.8. this function has been changed to 60 sec. Upgrade Control Omni to the latest version if needed. 2.16 "Call is waiting" does not work. Control Omni does not support the feature "Call is waiting" when using a mobile phone. We recommend you to turn off this feature with the mobile phone operator. 20(20)
