Biogas major opportunities, but Potential of 14 TWh digestion biogas. A full 59 TWh through gasification. Potential to replace large portions of the country s transport. Enormous environmental gains. E.ON is investing in production, distribution and building the market, but.the challenges are huge! We need the right prerequisities shared responsibility.
How can politicians assist in increasing competiveness? A climate bonus/fuel certificate, where two öre per liter of fossil fuel will be distributed among the renewable alternatives based on how little carbon dioxide is emitted. First and foremost, the reduction of the fringe benefit must be retained, since it is primarily company-car drivers who introduce new technology.

Pilot biogas region one way to build the market
Skåne an excellent biogas center According to a report from the Swedish Board of Agriculture, the biogas potential throughout the country from only farmyard manure corresponds to4.3 TWh, equal to fuel supply for 286,000 cars. The biogas potential of farmyard manure produced in Skåne would be sufficient to fuel more than 44,000 new Eco-cars on the country s roads. The animals in Skåne produce a total of 376,000 tons of the so-called drysubstance manure annually. This would correspond to about 669 GWh or approximately 44,000 cars.
Why are more filling stations not being built in Skåne? To defray costs, one filling station would require 500,000 cubic or 5 GWh This means 250 cars, or 14 buses, or 33 refuse trucks We need shared responsibility to build a larger market for gas vehicles Financial and environment gains
What support must politicians give biogas to achieve 8 TWh? Long-term support to increase biogas competitiveness and thus boost customer interest in choosing a new technology. Investment support to strengthen the desire of more players to invest in new technology.
What can politicians do to strengthen investment inclination? Investment support for production facilities. Support for establishing new filling stations.
