Jurate Kumpiene at department of Waste Science and Technology will take a role as a leader of a Work Package on "Harmonisation of methods to assess the bioavailability of trace elements and development of tool set to monitor the sustainability of gentle remediation options. Snowman MCA Syfte: Att utveckla en praktiskt användbar procedur för Multi-kriterieanalys (MKA) för utvärdering av åtgärders hållbarhet (sustainability), med hjälp av s.k. soil function (SF), exempelvis uttryckt i termer av markens förmåga att erbjuda ekosystemtjänster. Landområdens reglering av föroreningars mobilitet (Landscape regulation of contaminant mobility) Syfte: Att undersöka mängden av miljögift i mark som tillförs ett vattendrag och hur detta varierar mellan olika landområden och marktyper. (UmU, WSP) Resultat: Stor skillnad i deposition över året, ca 60 % med snö Betydande skillnad i vertikal transport mellan olika marklager, snabbare transport i djupare lager. Export: ca 40-60 % under vårflod, resten med höstregn. Olika export för olika landområden (skogsmark vs. våtmark), kopplat till biogeokemiska processer. Atmosfärisk deposition kan vara en betydande källa, jfm med punktkällor. Export till ytvatten: Atm.
