Detta skall ställas i relation till applicerat skikt av brandskyddsfärg som har begränsad livslängd. You are probably familiar with the fact that Woodsafe always gives the material four sides of fire protection. This is a major advantage as most applications require four sides of fire protection, such as secondary spaced boarding, perforation. There are two ways to protect wood from fire. Either you opt to hide the character of the wood behind multiple layers of fire-resistant paint, or you choose Woodsafe's impregnated wood which refines the wood's own properties to repel fire and has minimal affects on the natural character of the wood such as structure and nuance, and especially the natural movements of the wood which do not affect the fire protective properties. Another advantageous feature is that Woodsafe provides the wood with four sides of fire protection as standard. This means that when the product is fitted with an air gap or with secondary spaced boarding, for example a c/c distance of 15mm with slot, but also the installation of acoustic panels such as perforated plywood, for example, 10mm hole c/c 21.33mm, this means that Woodsafe complies with fire characteristic B-s1, d0. Woodsafe has fire resistant properties, and the fire protection does not require frequent maintenance. By using Woodsafe Exterior Fire-X, you as an architect can stipulate wood products such as cedar, cedar shavings, Siberian larch, fir, heat-treated timber, oak with several types of wood for exterior applications such as facade cladding of apartment blocks and let the wood age naturally without the need for surface treatment. Utförandet styrs av speciellt utvecklat styrprogram och i process tillförs specifik mängd brandskyddsmedel för aktuellt träslag och brandklass. Brandskyddsmedlen Woodsafe använder heter Koppers FirePRO och Koppers Fire-X och tillverkas exklusivt av Koppers Performance Chemicals, USA. Woodsafe's refining process consists of vacuum pressure impregnation, the only globally accepted method for the impregnation of wood. The execution is controlled by specially developed control software, and the process is supplied with a specific amount of fire retardant for the relevant type of wood and fire class. The fire protection agents that Woodsafe uses are Koppers FirePro and Fire-X, manufactured exclusively by Koppers Performance Chemicals Inc, USA. The principle for the refining properties of wood means that oxygen in the wood is removed by a vacuum. Allt interiört material skall förvaras torrt inomhus och acklimatiseras innan bearbetning och montage i minst 10dagar. Exteriöra produkter kan förvaras utomhus, skyddad mot fukt från mark, nederbörd, sol och förorening. Var uppmärksam på acklimatiseringsbehovet. Läs separat anvisning. DELIVERY-STORAGE-ACCLIMATIZATION All interior material should be stored dry indoors and be acclimatized before processing and assembly for at least 10 days. Exterior products can be stored outdoors, protected against moisture from the ground, rainfall, sunshine and pollution. Deficiencies due to improper storage, acclimatization, pollution, etc. do not warrant any claims. 4 YTBEHANDLING - WOODSAFE / FIRE-X. Woodsafe standard skall ytbehandlas vid exteriör användning enl. produktblad. Målning skall ske enligt principen grund, mellan och färdigstrykning. Föroreningar t.ex. gråfiber, förorening, rester av brandskyddsmedel skall borstas bort innan behandling. Underhåll skall ske enligt normala intervaller med reservation för tätare ingernall om skador och defekter upptäcks på fasadpanel. Exterior Fire-X skall inte målas. SURFACE TREATMENT - WOODSAFE STANDARD. Woodsafe standard must be surface treated during exterior use as per a separate product sheet. Painting must be carried out using the principle primer, intermediate and finishing coat. Impurities such as gray fiber, contamination, residues of flame retardants must be brushed away before treatment. Hantering av Woodsafe trämaterial kräver inte särskild säkerhetsutrustning. Vi rekommenderar följa AMV rekommendationer som utsug alternativt andningsmask vid risk för dammbildning, skyddsglasögon m.m. Byggavfall sorteras som brännbart träavfall och skall enbart förbrännas i kommunala värmeverk. Restprodukt skall inte användas för tillverkning av t.ex. briketter, pellets och skall inte användas som djurströ. MILJÖ OCH MILJÖSYSTEM. Bedömning finns bl.a. Byggvarubedömningen, Sunda hus finns tillgängliga för nedladdning på hemsida. Färdig slutprodukt är inte klassificerad som hälso eller miljöfarlig. Miljösystem t.ex. Svanen omfattar inte Woodsafe enligt särskild utredning och punkt 021, 026. Woodsafe är därmed godkänd att användas i Svanen märkta byggnadsverk. CONSTRUCTION WASTE & PERSONAL PROTECTION The management of Woodsafe timber products does not require any special safety equipment. We recommend the following AMV recommendations such as extractor or respirator if there is dust formation, protective goggles, etc. Construction waste is sorted as combustible wood waste and must only be burned in municipal heating plants. Waste product must not be used for production of briquettes and pellets, and must not be used as animal bedding. ENVIRONMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS. An assessment is available at, Byggvarubedömningen and Sunda hus (constructuion advice) and can be downloaded from the website. The finished product is not classified as a health or environmental hazard. Environmental systems such as the Swan do not cover Woodsafe as per special investigation, and point 021, 026.
