Time spent: One (1) day Course description: The goal of this seminar is to present the supple-mentory services concerning parametrization or scheduled communication, which are exceeding the scope of standard PROFIBUS DP. Vem bör delta: Alla som arbetar praktiskt med idrifttagning och underhåll av Profibus DP nätverk. Språk: Engelska Förkunskaper: Inga förkunskaper nödvändiga. Lärare: Professionell lärare från Softing AG, Tyskland. Tidsåtgång: Två (2) dagar. Kursbeskrivning: Kursen fokuserar på praktiska övningar i ett litet nätverk. Du kommer att fördjupa dig i beprövade metoder och verktyg för analys och åtgärd av identifierade situationer i PROFIBUS nätverk. Efter avslutad kurs kommer du att ha utvecklat din förmåga att angripa PROFIBUS problemställningar i dina egna anläggningar på ett effektivt sätt. Who should attend: Anyone involved in commissioning and maintenance of Profibus networks. Language: English. Prerequisites: No previous knowledge necessary Teacher: Professional teacher from Softing AG, Germany. Time spent: Two (2) days. Course description: The training focuses on practical exercises in real networks. You'll immerse in proven methods and tools to analyse the situation in PROFIBUS networks and to resolve communication prob-lems. This enables you to troubleshoot PROFIBUS communication on your own in the future. Hands-on experience is developed by using the maintenance tools from Softing AG. 7 OPC Plug n Play in Automation WORKSHOP Two-days training with theory and practice part. Contents and goals: The training is for engineering executives and project leaders that have already had first experiences with OPC technology or plan the application of OPC in an automation area in the future. You will receive an overview of the OPC technology and its meaning in automation. OPC extensions such as Alarm & Event or currently intensely discussed OPC & XML are being described and classified. During the practice part communication possibilities of OPC technology via Ethernet will be explained using typical OPC products such as e.g. visualization. By establishing an OPC communication with S7 / S5 PLCs the configuration of the client and the server respectively will be shown. An introduction to the development of a simple OPC Client with Visual basic, for connections to various data bases (Access) and/or for visualization of data, caps off the practical part of the seminar.
