Inledning Denna handbok innehåller information för installation och driftsättning av HD4-brytare för medelspänning. Läs handboken omsorgsfullt för att kunna hantera produkten rätt. Montering av tillbehör och/eller reservdelar framgår av tillämpliga avsnitt. Liksom all övrig apparatur som tillverkas av ABB är HD4- brytarna konstruerade för olika installationskonfigurationer. Det kan dock krävas ytterligare konstruktionstekniska modifieringar (enligt kundens önskemål) för anpassning till särskilda installationskrav. Informationen som lämnas nedan gäller därför inte alltid för specialkonfigurationer. Utöver denna broschyr måste därför även senaste tekniska dokumentation (kretsschema, kopplingsschema, monteringsoch installationsritningar, eventuella studier av säkerhetssamverkan osv) finnas tillgänglig, i synnerhet när eventuella modifieringar av standardutförandet har begärts. Introduction This publication contains the information necessary for installation and putting into service of HD4 medium voltage circuitbreakers. For correct usage of the product, please read this manual carefully. For correct mounting of accessories and/or spare parts please refer to the relevant instructions. Like all the apparatus manufactured by us, the HD4 circuitbreakers are designed for different installation configurations. They do, however, allow further technical-constructional variations (at the customer s request) to suit special installation requirements. For this reason, the information given below does not always cover special configurations. Apart from this booklet, it is therefore always necessary to refer to the latest technical documentation available (circuit diagram, wiring diagrams, assembly and installation drawings, any studies of protection co-ordination, etc.), especially with regard to any variations from standardized configurations requested.!! Produktionssystemet vid anläggningar för medelspänning uppfyller kraven för miljöskydd vad gäller energiförbrukning, råmaterial och restprodukter. Den miljömässiga påverkan av produktens livscykel har värderats enligt LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) och är också ett resultat av en välfokuserad projekteringsfas för val av material, processer och emballage. En miljödeklaration är upprättad för brytarna HD4. Använda tillverkningsmetoder ger enkel demontering och hantering av komponenter när kretsbrytarens livscykel är slut i syfte att optimera återvinningsprocessen. Programme for the environmental protection The HD4 circuit-breakers comply with ISO 14000 Standards (Guidelines for the Environmental Management). The production system of the Medium Voltage factories complies for the environmental protection in terms of energy consumption, raw materials and waste. The environmental impact of the product life cycle is assessed by the LCA - Life Cycle Assessment procedure, which is also the result of a well-focused project phase in the selection of materials, processes and packaging. The Product environmental declaration is available for the HD4 circuit-breakers Production techniques are carried out in order to achieve an easy dismantling and separation of the components at the end of the circuit-breaker life cycle, while optimizing the recycling process. 2

1. Emballage och transport Brytaren levereras i specialemballage i öppet läge, med obelastat fjäderspänndon och med ett absolut poltryck som motsvarar driftsvärdet. Varje del av apparaten är inplastad för att förhindra vatteninfiltrering under lastning och lossning och för att skydda från damm under magasineringen. 1. Packing and transport The circuit-breaker is shipped in special packing in the open position with the springs discharged and with absolute pole pressure corresponding with the service value. Each piece of apparatus is protected by a plastic film to prevent any infiltration of water during the loading and unloading stages and to keep the dust off during storage. 2. Before carrying out any operation, always make sure that the operating mechanism dprings are discharged and that the apparatus is in the open position. Vid mottagandet ska apparatens skick kontrolleras. Kontrollera att emballaget är oskadat och att uppgifterna på märkplåten överensstämmer (se fig. 1) med specifikationerna i orderbekräftelse och följesedel. Kontrollera också att allt material som upptas på följesedeln finns med i leveransen. Om skador eller felaktigheter upptäcks ska ABB meddelas (direkt eller via återförsäljare eller leverantör) så snart som möjligt och under alla omständigheter inom fem dagar efter mottagandet. Apparaten levereras endast med tillbehör enligt beställningsspecifikation och orderbekräftelse från ABB. On receipt, check the state of the apparatus, that the packing is undamaged and that the nameplate data corresponds (see fig. 1) with that specified in the order acknowledgement and in the delivery note. Also make sure that all the materials described in the shipping note are included in the supply. If any damage or irregularity is discovered on unpacking, notify ABB (directly or through the agent or supplier) as soon as possible and in any case within five days of receipt. The apparatus is only supplied with the accessories specified at the time of order and confirmed in the order acknowledgement sent by ABB. Magasinering Om en längre periods magasinering kan förutses kan kunden beställa lämpligt emballage för olika förhållanden. Vid leveransen ska apparaten packas upp försiktigt och kontrolleras enligt beskrivningen i Kontroll vid mottagandet (kap. 2). Om apparaten inte omedelbart ska installeras måste den emballeras på nytt. Använd originalförpackningen. Lägg ett hygroskopiskt standardpaket per apparat i förpackningen. Om originalförpackningen inte finns till hands och apparaten inte kan installeras omedelbart ska den förvaras i ett slutet, välventilerat, torrt, dammfritt, icke-korrosivt utrymme, ej i närheten av brännbart material och vid en temperatur mellan 5 och +45 C. Under alla omständigheter måste apparaten förvaras där den är skyddad från oavsiktliga stötar och belastning på dess konstruktion. 3. Storage When a period of storage is foreseen, (on request) our workshops can provide suitable packing for the specified storage conditions. On receipt the apparatus must be carefully unpacked and checked as described in Checking on receipt (chap. 2). If immediate installation is not possible, the packing must be replaced, using the original material supplied. Insert hygroscopic substances inside the packing, with at least one standard bag per piece of apparatus. Should the original packing not be available and immediate installation is not possible, store in covered, well-ventilated, dry, dust-free, non-corrosive ambients, away from any flammable materials and at a temperature between 5 C and +45 C. In any case, avoid any accidental impacts or positioning which stresses the structure of the apparatus. 5

4. Förflyttning Kontrollera, innan något som helst arbete utförs, att manövermekanismens fjäderspänndon är obelastat och att apparaten är i öppet läge. Effektbrytare upp till 24 kv Använd verktyg (1) (fig. 2a: Använd de korta hakarna för brytare t.o.m. 17,5 kv. Använd alla hakar för brytare fr.o.m. 24 kv) för att lyfta och flytta brytaren. Fäst krokarna (2) i avsedda hål i brytarens stativ och lyft. När förflyttningen är klar (och under alla omständigheter innan brytaren tas i drift) ska lyftverktyget (1) (fig. 2b) hakas loss och tvärstycket (2) monteras bort genom att skruvarna (3) lossas. Effektbrytare på 36 kv Montera verktygen (1) för att lyfta och flytta brytaren (fig. 2c). Fäst krokarna (2) enligt fig. 2d och lyft. Ta bort verktygen (1) efter genomfört arbete. Var alltid försiktig vid förflyttning och belasta inte isolerande delar och effektbrytarens änduttag. 4. Handling Before carrying out any operation, always check that the operating mechanism springs are discharged and that the apparatus is in the open position. Circuit-breakers up to 24 kv To lift and handle the circuit-breaker, use the tool (1) (fig. 2a: shortest hooks for circuit-breakers up to 17.5 kv; all hooks for 24 kv circuit-breakers). Put the hooks (2) in the holes prepared in the circuit-breaker frame and lift. On completion of the operation (and in any case before putting into service) unhook the lifting tool (1) (fig. 2b) and dismantle the crosspiece (2) by unscrewing the screws (3). 36 kv circuit-breakers Attach the tools (1) to lift and handle the circuit-breaker (fig. 2c); Attach the hooks (2) as illustrated in fig. 2d and lift; On completion of the operation, remove the tools (1). Always take great care during handling not to stress the insulating parts and the circuit-breaker terminals.! Apparaten får inte flyttas genom att lyftdon fästs direkt under själva apparaten. Description 5.1. General features The HD4 series are sulphur hexafluoride circuit-breakers for indoor installation. For the electrical performance, please refer to the corresponding technical catalogue code 1VCP000004. For special installation conditions please ask ABB. The following versions are available: fixed withdrawable for CBE, PowerCube enclosures and CBF fixed parts withdrawable for switchgear: UniGear type ZS1, UniGear type ZS2, UniGear type ZS3.2 withdrawable for switchgear: UniSwitch, UniMix. 5.2. 5.3. Fast effektbrytare Den fasta brytaren (se fig. 4) är utrustad med frontplåt och stativ i grundutförandet. Förborrade förankringshål finns i nedre delen av stativet. Anslutningsplinten, monterad på det övre skyddet, är lättåtkomlig för anslutning av brytarens hjälpkretsar. Jordningsskruven är placerad på sidan av brytaren. Mer information finns i bildtexten i fig. 4. 5.3. Fixed circuit-breaker The fixed circuit-breaker (see fig. 4) corresponds to the basic version complete with a front protection shield and frame. The anchoring holes are drilled in the lower part of the frame. The terminal box, fixed on the upper protection, is available for connection of the circuit-breaker auxiliary circuits. The earthing screw is located on the circuit-breaker side. For further details, refer to the caption of fig. 4. Utdragbar effektbrytare De utdragbara brytarna (se fig. 5) består av en kassett på vilken brytarens bärande stomme är monterad. De består av en kassett på vilken brytarens bärande stomme är monterad. Withdrawable circuit-breaker The withdrawable circuit-breakers (see fig. 5) are consist of a truck on which the supporting structure of the circuit-breaker itself is fixed. The cord with the connector (plug) for connection of the operating mechanism electrical accessories comes out of the front protection of the circuit-breaker. The strikers for activating the contacts (connected/isolated), located in the enclosure or in the switchgear, are fixed in the top part of the circuit-breaker. The slides for activating the segregation shutters of the medium voltage contacts of the enclosure or switchgear are fixed on the sides of the circuit-breaker. The crosspiece for hooking the circuit-breaker for the connection/ isolation operation by means of the special operating lever is mounted on the front part of the circuit-breaker truck. The circuit-breaker is completed with the tulip isolating contacts. The withdrawable circuit-breaker is fitted with special 8

The locks can only be activated by the handles with the truck resting completely on the crosspiece. The activating lever (connection/isolation) must be fully inserted. A lock prevents the truck from advancing into the enclosure or fixed part (for example when the earthing switch is closed). With the truck in the middle position between isolated and connected, the lock prevents closure of the circuitbreaker (both mechanical and electrical). 6. Anvisningar för brytarens handhavande 6.1. Säkerhetsinformation! HD4-brytaren uppfyller som lägst skyddsklass IP2X om den installeras under följande villkor: fast version installerad med skyddsnät utdragbar version installerad i ett ställverk Under dessa förhållanden skyddas personalen mot oavsiktlig kontakt med rörliga delar. Safety indications! HD4 circuit-breakers ensure a minimum degree of protection IP2X if installed under the following conditions: fixed version, with protection netting withdrawable version, installed in a switchgear. Under these conditions, the operator is guaranteed against accidental contact with moving parts. Should any mechanical operations be carried out on the circuit-breaker outside the switchgear or with the protection netting removed, be very careful of any moving parts. If the operations are prevented, do not force the mechanical interlocks and check that the operation sequence is correct. The racking-in and racking-out operations of the circuit-breaker must be carried out gradually to prevent any impacts which might deform the mechanical interlocks. 6.2. Manöver- och signaldelar 6.2. 6.3. Effektbrytarens till- och frånslagsfunktioner (fig. 6) Brytaren kan manövreras manuellt eller elektriskt. a) Manuell manövrering av fjäderspänndonet För att spänna slutningsfjädrarna manuellt måste spännspaken skjutas in helt i sätet (6) och sedan vridas medurs tills den gula indikatorn (7) syns. Den kraft som normalt tillämpas på spännspaken är 130 N. Under inga omständigheter får kraften överstiga 170 N. 6.3. Circuit-breaker closing and opening operations (fig. 6) Circuit-breaker operation can be manual or electrical. a) Manual operation for spring charging To manually charge the closing springs, it is necessary fully insert the charging lever into the seat (6) and turn it clockwise until the yellow indicator (7) appears. The force which can normally be applied to the charging lever fitted is 130 N. För jordningskassetter med tillslagskapacitet ska nyckellåset (i slutet läge) aktiveras och nyckeln tas ur. Detta förhindrar oaviktliga frånslag under underhållsarbete. d) Frånslag av brytaren Tryck på tryckknappen (2) för manuellt frånslag. Om det finns en frånslagsmagnet kan funktionen också utföras fjärrstyrt via en styrkrets. Indikatorn (4) visar att frånslag har skett. The geared motor automatically recharges the springs after each closing operation until the yellow indicator (7) appears. Should there be no voltage during charging, the geared motor stops and then starts recharging the springs automatically when the voltage is on again. It is, however, always possible to complete the charging operation manually. c) Circuit-breaker closing This operation can only be carried out with the closing springs completely charged. For manual closing, push the push button (3). When there is a shunt closing release, the operation can also be carried out with remote control by means of a control circuit. The indicator (4) shows that closing has been accomplished. In case of earthing truck with making capacity, activate the key lock (in the closed position) and remove the key. This is to prevent accidental opening operations during any maintenance work on the installation. d) Circuit-breaker opening For manual opening, push the push button (2). When there is a shunt opening release, the operation can also be carried out with remote control by means of a control circuit. The indicator (4) shows that opening has been accomplished. 11

7. Installation 7. Installation 7.1. Allmänt Det är av yttersta vikt att installation utförs rätt. Tillverkarens anvisningar måste noggrant studeras och följas. Ta för vana att använda handskar vid hantering av de olika delarna under installationen.!! 7.1. General Correct installation is of prime importance. The instructions given by the manufacturer must be carefully studied and followed. It is good practice to use gloves to handle the pieces during installation. 7.2. Check that the upper and lower terminals are clean and free of any deformation caused by shocks received during transport or storage. 7.4. Installation av fast brytare Brytaren kan monteras direkt på stativ som tillhandahålls av kunden. Brytaren, komplett med stödkassett, måste vara fast monterad i cellgolvet med särskilda konsoler. Den del av golvytan som kassetthjulen vilar på måste vara fullständigt plan. De områden som stativ och kassetthjul vilar på (om kassett ingår) måste vara på samma horisontalplan för att undvika deformationer i brytarstativet. Montera skiljeväggar om sådana medföljer leveransen. En lägsta skyddsnivå (IP2X) måste kunna garanteras mot strömförande delar. 7.4. Installation of fixed circuit-breaker The circuit-breaker can be mounted directly on the supporting frames provided by the customer. The circuit-breaker, complete with supporting truck, must be fixed to the floor of its compartment with special brackets. The parts of the floor surface on which the truck wheels rest must be perfectly level. The areas on which the supporting frames or truck wheels rest (if a truck is provided) must be on the same horizontal plane to avoid any risk of distortion in the breaker frame. Fit the isolating partitions if provided. A minimum degree of protection (IP2X) must be guaranteed from the front towards live parts. 7.5. Installation av utdragbar brytare Utdragbara brytare finns för insättning i kapslingar, kassetter eller tillhörande ställverk. Brytaren måste skjutas in och dras ut stegvis för att undvika påkänningar som kan deformera de mekaniska förreglingarna. Bruka inte våld på förreglingarna, om manövreringen av någon anledning hindras, och kontrollera att manövercykeln är riktig. Den kraft som vanligtvis tillämpas på manöverspaken är 250 N. 7.5. Installation of withdrawable circuit-breaker The withdrawable circuit-breakers are preset for insertion in enclosures, in fixed parts or in the corresponding switchgears. Insertion and racking-out of the circuit-breakers must be gradual to avoid any shocks which could deform the mechanical interlocks. If the operations are prevented, do not force the interlocks and check that the operating sequence is correct. The force normally applicable to the insertion/racking-out lever is 250 N. 12

Allmänt Anslutning får endast ske med de fyrkantiga änduttag som levereras tillsammans med brytaren. Välj den tvärsnittsarea på kabel som är lämplig för installationens drift- och kortslutningsström. I närheten av änduttagen på den fasta versionen eller kapslingen ska lämpliga packningar monteras, dimensionerade för de elektrodynamiska krafter som kan bli resultatet av kortslutningsström i installationen. Montera skiljeväggar om sådana medföljer. 7.6.2. Montering av anslutningar Kontrollera att kontaktytorna är helt släta, utan grader, tecken på oxidation eller deformation orsakad av borrning eller slag. Beroende på ledarmaterial och ytbehandling ska åtgärder på kabelns kontaktyta genomföras enligt tabellen. 7.6. Fixed circuit-breaker power circuit connections 7.6.1. General directions The connections must be made using only the squaresterminals supplied with the circuit-breaker. Select the conductor cross-section according to the operating and short-circuit current of the installation. Near the terminals of fixed version circuit-breakers or enclosure, provide suitable support insulators dimensioned according to the electrodynamic stresses that may arise from the short-circuit current of the installation. Fit the isolating partitions if provided. 7.6.2. Mounting the connections Check that the connection contact surfaces are perfectly flat and have no burrs, oxidation traces, or deformations due to drillings or impacts. Depending on the conductive material and surface treatment used, carry out the operations indicated in the table on the contact surface of the conductor. Försilvrad koppar eller aluminium Silver-plated copper or aluminium Rengör med en styv, torr trasa. Ren aluminium Bare aluminium Rengör med en metallborste eller smärgelduk. Täck genast kontaktytorna med vaselinfett för industriändamål. Skjut in koppar-aluminiumbimetallen med restaurerade ytor mellan aluminiumanslutningen och kopparänduttaget (kopparsidan mot änduttaget, aluminiumsidan mot anslutningen). Clean with a fine file or emery cloth. Fully tighten and smear a film of industrial vaseline grease over the contact surfaces. Clean with a rough dry rag. In case of tough oxidation traces only, clean with a very fine emery cloth, taking care not to remove the surface layer. If necessary, recondition the surface treatment. Clean with a metallic brush or emery cloth. Immediately smear a film of industrial vaseline grease over the contact surfaces. Interpose the copper-aluminium bi-metal with restored surfaces between the aluminium connection and the copper terminal (copper side in contact with the terminal; aluminium side in contact with the connection). Interpose a spring washer and a flat washer between the head of the bolt and the connection. Tighten the bolt, taking care not to subject the insulating parts to stress (see table tightening torque). Make sure that the connections do not exert force on the terminals. In case of cable connections, carefully follow the manufacturer s instructions for terminating the cables. 7.7. Jordning För fasta effektbrytare ska skruven som är märkt med jordningssymbol användas för jordning. Rengör och ta bort smörjmedel på en yta med ca 30 mm i diameter. Hela kopplingspunkten ska täckas med vaselin när jordningen är klar. Använd en ledare (skena eller fläta) med tvärsnitt enligt gällande normer 7.7. Earthing For fixed version circuit-breakers, use the screw marked with the relative symbol to effect the earthing. Clean and degrease the surrounding area for a diameter of about 30 mm. After completion of the assembly, cover the entire joint with vaseline. Use a conductor (busbar or braid) with a cross-section as indicated in the Standards in force. 7.8. Anslutning av hjälpkretsar Anm: Minsta tvärsnittsarea på hjälpkraftkablaget får inte vara mindre än tvärsnittsarean på det interna kablaget. Innan hjälpkretsarna ansluts är det lämpligt att testa den automatiska funktionen för tryckvakten (i förekommande fall) enligt senaste tekniska dokumentation från ABB. 7.8. Auxiliary circuit connection Notes The minimum cross-section of the wires used for the auxiliary circuits must not be less than that used for internal wirings. Before carrying out the connection of the auxiliary circuits, it is advisable to check the selected type of automatism provided for operation of the pressure switch (if provided) referring to the latest technical documentation supplied by ABB. 7.8.1. Fast effektbrytare Effektbrytarens hjälpkretsar måste anslutas på anslutningsplinten som är monterad på effektbrytaren. På utsidan måste hjälpkraftkablaget ledas i särskilt jordade metallrör. 7.8.1. Fixed circuit-breaker The connection of the circuit-breaker auxiliary circuits must be made via the terminal box mounted on the circuit-breaker structure. Outside the circuit-breaker the wires must run inside appropriately earthed metal tubes or ducts. Before removing the operating mechanism cover to access the terminal box, make sure that the circuitbreaker is open and the closing springs discharged. 7.8.2. Utdragbar effektbrytare Hjälpkraftkablaget till den utdragbara kretsbrytaren är fabriksmonterat fram till anslutningen vid kontaktdonet. För anslutning av de yttre ledningarna hänvisas till kopplingsschemat för kapslingen eller ställverket. 7.8.2. Withdrawable circuit-breaker The auxiliary circuits of the withdrawable circuit-breaker are fully cabled in the factory as far as the connector. For the external connections, please refer to the electric diagram of the enclosure or of the switchgear. 14
