Percolatorbryggare PKE210 Innan användning Innan percolatorbryggare tas i bruk för första gången bör bruksanvisningen läsas igenom noggrant och sparas för framtida bruk. Innan bryggaren används för första gången, skall insidan av bryggaren, kaffebehållaren, silen och stigarröret rengöras i varmt vatten. Skölj noga och låt delarna torka. OBS! Signallampa 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 6 8 Användning Se till att kontaktplattans strömbrytare står på 0 och sätt i kontakten i ett vägguttag. Ta bort lock, stigarrör och kaffebehållare. Fyll bryggaren med önskad mängd kallt vatten. Fyll aldrig över MAX markeringen (12 dl). Vänta med att trycka på kontaktplattans strömbrytare. Skölj kaffebehållaren med kallt vatten för att förhindra att kaffesump faller ned i bryggaren. Mät upp kaffet (1 mått per kopp där en kopp är ca 1,25 dl) i kaffebehållaren, fyll ej på ända upp till kanten. Fördela kaffet jämnt. Sätt på silen på kaffebehållaren och stick upp stigarröret genom kaffebehållaren och silen. Använd brygg-, kok-, presso- eller percolatorkaffe. Bryggkaffe ger något mer sump vilket undviks genom att välja ett mer grovmalet kaffealternativ dvs kok-, presso- eller percolatorkaffe. Placera stigarröret tillsammans med kaffebehållaren med silen i percolatorn, kontrollera att stigarröret är korrekt placerat i botten genom att lätt vrida på det. Placera locket på bryggaren. Placera bryggaren på kontaktplattan. Observera att bryggaren endast kan användas med medföljande kontaktplatta. Tryck på strömbrytaren på kontaktplattan och bryggningen påbörjas. OBS! Öppna aldrig locket under bryggning. När bryggningen är klar tänds signallampan som signalerar att den har slagit om till värmehållning. Kaffets temperatur bibehålls tills du stänger av kontaktplattan med strömbrytaren eller drar ur kontakten. Kom ihåg att alltid stänga av kontaktplattan med hjälp av strömbrytaren efter användning. Viktigt! Var alltid noga med att det finns vatten i bryggaren innan den kopplas på. Starta aldrig bryggaren utan vatten! Använd aldrig varmt vatten då detta resulterar i svagt kaffe!
När nivån i bryggaren är under 0,5 dl bör du dra ur kontakten för att undvika att kaffet bränns vid. OBS! Du måste alltid stänga av kontaktplattan med strömbrytaren för att stänga av percolatorbryggaren/kontaktplattan. Rengöring och underhåll Dra ur kontaktplattans kontakt från vägguttaget. Sänk aldrig ner bryggaren, sladden eller kontakten i vatten. Det är viktigt att bryggaren rengörs ordentligt efter användning. T o m en liten mängd gammal kaffesump kan förorsaka dålig och bitter smak vid nästa bryggning. Var särskilt noga med att rengöra fördjupningen och muttern i behållaren. All form av bottensats (avlagring) i fördjupningen kan resultera i att den automatiska avoch påslagningen sker för snabbt och kan därmed påverka styrkan och temperaturen på kaffet. Kaffebehållare, kaffebehållarens sil och stigarrör kan diskas i diskmaskin. Utsidan av bryggaren rengörs med en lätt fuktad trasa och eftertorkas noga. Använd aldrig kemiska rengöringsmedel eller andra medel med repande effekt. Om bryggaren inte skall användas under en längre period, förvara då kaffebehållaren, silen, stigarröret och locket separat. Detta förhindrar att någon form av bismak uppstår under förvaringen. Avkalkning Om du har extremt hårt vatten kan det bli nödvändigt att kalka av percolatorbryggaren med jämna mellanrum för att undvika att elementet täcks av kalkavlagringar. Använd inte kemikalier i bryggaren utan använd vinäger eller citron. Citron Fyll percolatorn med 1 liter vatten och saft från 1 citron. Starta bryggaren och låt stå i 30 minuter. Låt svalna innan du ur sköljer bryggaren noggrant. Vinäger Fyll percolatorn med 1 liter vinäger och låt stå i 1 timme utan att starta bryggaren. Upprepa om det behövs. Skölj noga efteråt. Säkerhetsanvisningar 1. Läs igenom bruksanvisningen innan användning och spara den för framtida bruk. 2. Anslut endast apparaten till 230V växelström och använd apparaten endast till det den är avsedd för. 3. Dra alltid ur kontakten vid uppehåll i användandet, när det sätts på eller tas av delar från apparaten samt innan rengöring och underhåll. 4. Doppa aldrig apparaten eller kontaktplattan i vatten eller andra vätskor. 5. Använd endast den kontaktplatta som levereras med produkten. 6. Ta alltid bort bryggaren från kontakplattan innan du häller vatten i den. 7. Produkten är inte ämnad att användas av personer (inklusive barn) med nedsatt känsel, fysisk eller mental förmåga eller som har brist på kunskap/erfarenhet av apparaten, om inte användning sker under uppsyn eller efter instruktion av apparaten av en person som är ansvarig för deras säkerhet. 8. Barn bör vara under uppsikt för att försäkra att de inte leker med apparaten. Barn är inte alltid kapabla att förstå och värdera potentiella risker. Om detta händer, dra ur kontakten och låt apparaten svalna innan du fyller på med vatten igen. 16. Överskrid inte MAX markeringen på bryggarens nivåmätare och i kaffebehållaren. 17. Varning! Om bryggaren fylls med vatten över MAX-markeringen kan bryggaren koka över och kokande vatten komma ur pipen. 18. Kontrollera alltid apparat, sladd och kontakt innan användning. Om anslutningssladden skadas får den endast bytas av tillverkaren, legitimerad serviceverkstad eller en behörig person för att undvika fara. 19. Extra skydd rekommenderas genom installation av jordfelsbrytare med en märkström av 30 ma. Kontakta en auktoriserad elektriker. 20. Percolator PKE210 Before use Please read the instructions carefully and safe them for future use before using for the percolator for the first time. Before the percolator is used for the first time, clean and rinse the inside of the percolator, the coffee basket, lid and percolating tube with warm water. Rinse carefully and allow to dry. Note! Pilot light 6 7 Using the percolator Check that the switch on the contact plate is in off position (O) and connect the plug into an outlet. Remove the lid, coffee basket and tube from the percolator. Fill the percolator with the desired amount of water. Never fill above the MAX marking (12 dl). Wait to press the switch. Rinse the basked to prevent coffee grind in the appliance. Measure the coffee grains into the basket one heaped spoon per cup (one cup is appr 1,25 dl). Do not fill the basket up to the edge with coffee. Distribute the coffee evenly in the basket. Place the strainer on the basket and place the basket/strainer over the tube. Use fine-grind coffee, coarse-grind coffee, presso coffee or percolator coffee. If you use fine-grind coffee it may result in coffee-grounds in the coffee, which is prevented if you use any of the other coffee types mentioned. Place the tube and the basket into the central hole at the bottom of the percolator body. Check that the tube is correctly placed in the bottom by turning it. Place the lid on the percolator. Place the percolator on the contact plate. Note that the percolator can only be used with the enclosed contact plate. Press the switch on the contact plate and the brewing process starts. Note! Never open the lid during brewing. When the coffee is ready the pilot lamp lights which indicates that it has switched to keep warm mode. The temperature of the coffee is maintained until you shut off the contact plate with the switch or pull the plug. Remember to always shot of the contact plate after use. 8 15
Note! Make sure that there is water in the unit before switching it on. Never start the appliance without water. Never use warm water though it may result in tasteless coffee! When the coffee level is less than 0,5 dl, shut off the appliance to avoid it to boil dry. Remember! You must turn off the appliance with the switch to turn off the percolator. Cleaning and maintenance Always disconnect from the power supply before cleaning. Never immerse the unit, cord or plug in water or any other liquid. It is important to clean the unit after each use. Even a small amount of coffee grain can cause bad and bitter taste at the next brewing. Be careful to clean the hollow and nut in the container. Any form of coffee grounds in the hollow of the container can make the automatic on/off function to activate to early which can effect the temperature and taste of the coffee. Coffee basket, strainer and tube is dishwasher safe. Clean the outside of the percolator with a damp cloth and dry. Do not use abrasive cleaning or scouring agents, as this will damage the external finish. If the appliance will not be used for a longer period, store the unit, tube, strainer and basket separately. This will prevent any form of bad flavour during the storage. Descaling If you have hard water, it may be necessary to descale the percolator occasionally to prevent the build up of lime on the heating element. Do not use chemicals to remove the lime build up. Lemon or vinegar provide simple, safe and gentle alternative approaches. Lemon Fill percolator with 1 litre of water and add the juice of 1 fresh lemon. Switch on the percolator and leave for 30 minutes. Allow to cool down and rinse thoroughly. Vinegar Fill the percolator with 1 litres of vinegar and allow to stand for 1 hour keeping the percolator switched OFF. Thoroughly rinse afterwards. Repeat the procedure if the lime build up is severe. Safety instructions 1. Read the instruction manual carefully before use, and save it for future use. 2. Plug the appliance to a household outlet of 230V only, and use the appliance only for the intended use. 3. Always unplug the appliance from the mains supply when not in use, after use and when assembling and disassembling, and before cleaning and maintenance. 4. Do not immerse the percolator or the base in water or any other liquid. 5. Only use this product with the base provided. 6. Always remove the unit from the base before filling with water. 7. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. 8. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Children are not always able to understand potential risks. Teach children a responsible handling of electrical appliances. 16
9. Check that the cord is not hanging over the edge of the table. 10. Do not place the appliance on or near hotplates, open fire or the like. 11. The appliance should only be used under supervision. 12. Before plugging in the appliance, check that the lid is correctly placed on the appliance. 13. Never remove the lid during operation. 14. To switch off the appliance you must press the switch on the contact plate or pull the plug. 15. The automatic coffee percolator has an automatic safety device and will switch off should the percolator be used without water. If this occurs, disconnect the power supply and allow the appliance to cool off before filling with water and then operate as normal. 16. Please observe the maximum markings on the percolator. Always fill water within this range. 17. Warning! If water has been filled above the maximum level, boiling water may be ejected. 18. Always examine appliance, cord and plug for damage before use. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, or his service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. 19. The electrical installation must comply with the present legislation concerning additional protection in the form of a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 ma). Check with your installer. 20. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: - staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; - farm houses; - by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; - bed and breakfast type environments 21.
