SVENSKA 1. Uppackning 2. Säkerhetsföreskrifter Var noga med att kontrollera att allt finns med vid uppackning av maskinen. Förpackningen skall, förutom själva maskinen, innehålla följande: Sugslang Handrör Golvmunstycke Scan Dust 2900 levereras med antingen grovfilter av typen patron alternativt slangfilter som sitter monterade i maskinen. Fattas något skall ni genast ta kontakt med återförsäljaren. 2.1. Handhavande Varning En elkabel som har klämskador eller torrsprickor kan vara farlig att använda och skall omedelbart bytas ut. Risk för personskada. Varning Anslut ej maskinen till ett ojordat uttag. Risk för personskada. Varning Se till att uppställningsplatsen är stabil, så att inte stoftsugaren välter. Risk för person-och egendomsskada. Varning Risk för klämskada vid hantering av excenterlås. Varning Maskinen får ej användas i miljöer där explosiva gaser förekommer. Stor risk för explosion. Varning Sug ej glödande eller brinnande partiklar, maskinen kan då fatta eld. Om brand uppstår, dra ur kontakten ur vägguttaget och släck med tillgängliga brandredskap. Vid sugning av sot, aska eller glödande material ska därför avsedd föravskiljare placeras mellan sugrör och stoftavskiljare. Service Varning Dra ut kontakten från vägguttaget vid underhållarbete. Risk för personskada. Varning I samband med byte av grovfilter och vid byte av absolufilter kan hälsovådligt damm spridas.operatören bör därför bära skyddsglasögon, skyddshandskar, andningsmask med skyddsklass FFP3. Dammsugaren är tillverkad av stål som sedan pulver lackerats. Miljö När vi designat och tillverkat denna industridammsugare har valet av material och produktionsmetoder spelat en stor roll. Dammsugaren är till 98% återvinningsbar. Undantagen är en del elektriska komponenter. Anslut maskinen till ett eluttag med spänning enligt maskinens namnskylt. Anslut slangen och eventuellt städutrustning till Scan Dust 2900. Slå på strömbrytaren på läge 1 för en eller läge 2 för halv alternativt maximal kapacitet. Med jämna mellanrum bör filtret rensas. Det är lämpligt i samband med säckbyte eller när maskinen tappar orken. Filterrengöring måste utföras när manometern nått de röda fältet. Tillvägagångssätt: Blockera stoftsugarens inloppsrör, låt maskinen arbeta upp vakuum några sekunder, ta tag i rensventilen (1.) och öppna inloppet hastigt. Upprepa hela proceduren 5-10ggr. Skulle sugeffekten fortfarande vara dålig, är filterbyte nödvändigt. Gör alltid en filterrensning innan plastsäcken byts. Maskinen är utrustad med ett veckat säcksystem vid namnet Longopac som underlättar för att hålla ett dammfritt säckbyte. SVENSKA 6.1. Transportläge För att kunna lättare transportera maskinen i skrymmande utrymmen är Scan Dust 2900 utrustad med justerbart stativ som möjliggör att sänka ner cyklondelen. Dra ut låsen (1) och vrid dem 45 för att de ska fastna i sitt yttre läge. Tryck ner maskinens cyklondel genom att trycka uppe på den runda kåpan mitt emellan slanganslutningarna. När cyklonen är helt nedtryckt vrids låsen åter 45 för att låsa cyklonen i det nedre läget genom att låset går in i hålet i läge (2). För att få tillbaka cyklonen i sitt övre läge görs samma procedur i omvänd ordning. Var noga med att låsa den även i sitt övre läge. Scan Dust 2900 är utrustad med gasfjädrar vilket hjälper till för att ändra till och från transportläget. Viktigt! Använd låsen då gasfjädrarna är så pass starka att det är risk för personskada 7. Instruktioner för underhåll 7.1. Dra fram ny plastsäck, Longopac 1. Stäng av maskinen och dra ut kabeln. 2. Dra ner en bit av påsen så att det finns utrymme mellan den fyllda säcken och hållaren av plastsäcken. 3. Fäst 2 medföljande vita buntband direkt ovanför den fyllda säcken. 4. Klipp eller skär av påsen mellan de 2 buntbanden 5. Ta bort den fyllda säcken försiktigt för att undvika att den går sönder. 6. Dra ytterligare ner ytterligare ett veck av säcken för att göra plats för nytt damm. Påsen kan eventuellt innehålla farligt och giftigt material och skall därför hanteras enligt gällande miljöföreskrifter. Använda påsar ska alltid hållas förslutna och hanteras varsamt. SVENSKA 7.2. Byte av Polyester Filter (grovfilter) Scan Dust 2900 levereras med antingen ett patronfilter (4) eller alternativ ett slangfilter-system (5). När du byter filter rekommenderas att man använder andnings mask. Hantera alltid både nya och använda filter varsamt. Även en liten skada eller hål reducerad filterkapaciteten markant. Ett använt filter kan innehålla damm som är hälsovådligt för både natur och människa och skall därför hanteras enligt miljö föreskrifter. Lägg använda filter i plastpåsar och stäng ordentligt. Använd endast Scanmaskin original filter. Dra ur strömkabeln ur väggkontakten. Släpp på de tre excenterlåsen som håller topp kåpan på plats (1). Lyft av topp kåpan (2). Lyft försiktigt ut filterhuset så att dammet inte sprids (3). Lägg filterhuset med filtret upp och ner på golvet. För byte av patronfilter ta bort muttern som finns i botten på filtret (4). Sätt tillbaka muttern. Dra åt muttern så att packningen som sitter på ovansidan patronfiltret trycks samman ca 8-10mm. För byte av slangfilter (5) klipp bort buntbanden som håller uppe filtren på ovansidan. Nedtill hålls filtren på plats med en fjäderstålsring, kläm ihop filtret på nedsidan för att släppa på det. Byt alla slangar, fäst toppen med nya buntband. 7.3. Byte av HEPA Filter Vid byte av filter kan hälsofarligt damm spridas. Användaren ska därför använda skyddsglasögon, handskar och en andningsmask enligt skyddsklass FFP3. Hantera alltid nya och använda filter varsamt. Även en liten skada eller hål reducerar filterkapaciteten markant. Ett använt filter kan innehålla damm som är hälsovådligt för både natur och människa och skall därför hanteras enligt miljö föreskrifter. Lägg använda filter i plastpåsar och stäng ordentligt. Använd endast original filter. 1. Dra ur strömkabeln ur väggkontakten 2. Avlägsna M5-bultarna som håller fast locket. 3. Vrid locket till HEPA filtren. 4. Lyft upp locket på filterhuset försiktigt. Slangen behöver ej lossas för att utföra detta. 5. Trä en plastpåse över filtren och tag sedan bort dom från filterhuset. 6. Sätt in nya filter. 7. Sätt tillbaka filtrerna i HEPA filterhuset. Se till att filtrerna är centrerade och att packningen ligger rätt. 8. Vrid locket så att det sitter på plats. Montera tillbaka med M5-bultarna så att locket stängs ordentligt. Trä en plastpåse över filtret och tag sedan bort dem från filterhuset. Gör rent filterhuset och sätt dit det nya filtret. Se till att filtret är ordentligt centrerade i filterhuset. Lyft tillbaka filterenheten i cyklonen. Se till att packningen ligger rätt. Sätt tillbaka topp kåpan på cyklonen. Spänn excenter låsen (1). Figur 7. SVENSKA 7.4. Service Vid rengöring och service av maskinen måste maskinen stängas av och stickproppen dras ur eluttaget. Undvik rengöring med hjälp av högtryckstvätt. Om detta är nödvändigt, se till att ej rikta strålen mot maskinens öppningar, speciellt motorns inlopp/utlopp för kylluften. Innan den använda maskinen flyttas från arbetsområdet, skall den rensugas eller avtvättas. Dessutom skall sugslangen demonteras. All övrig utrustning måste anses förorenat och skall behandlas därefter. Om möjligt skall ett avskiljt anpassat rum användas. Lämplig personlig skyddsutrustning skall användas. Alla förorenade delar, som vid skötsel-eller reparationsarbete ej kan rengöras tillfredsställande, måste omhändertas i tätt förslutbara påsar för omhändertagande enligt gällande bestämmelser. Om maskinen skall användas för annan användning, är det mycket viktigt att maskinen saneras ordentligt så, att hälsofarligt damm ej sprids vidare. 8. Garanti Denna produkt från Scanmaskin Sverige AB har tolv månaders garantitid. Om produkten inte skulle fungera tillfredställande, under denna tid, kommer Scanmaskin göra produkten funktionsduglig för den normala användningen, som produkten är avsedd för utan kostnad för arbete eller reservdelar, enligt följande villkor: 1. Garantin gäller endast person som äger laglig rätt till utrustningen under garanti tiden. 2. Tillverkarens åtaganden begränsas till reparation av defekta delar eller utbyte av dessa enligt tillverkarens bedömning. Kostnader och risker för transport liksom demontage och återinstallation av produkten / produkterna samt andra direkta eller indirekta kostnader, som hänger samman med den aktuella reparationen, täcks inte av denna garanti. 3. Periodiska kontroller, justeringar, underhållsarbeten och ändringar täcks inte av garantin. 4. Scanmaskin ansvarar inte för eventuelle skador på slipskivor eller annan liknande utrustning. 5. Garantin gäller endast för brister i material och konstruktion och gäller inte i följande fall: a. Skador orsakade genom olycksfall, slarv, ändringar, användning av reservdelar eller slipverktyg som inte är originalkomponenter, eller felaktiganvändning och installation. b. Skador orsakade av blixtnedslag, vatten, brand, vandalisering, felaktig nätspänning, felaktig ventilation eller annan orsak, som ligger utanför tillverkarens kontroll. 6. Scanmaskin förbehåller sig rätten att ändra konstruktionen eller göra förbättringar utan skyldighet att ändra tidigare tillverkade produkter. 7. Alla garantireparationer måste utföras av Scanmaskin eller av Scanmaskin auktoriserad reparationsverkstad. Kostnader för reparationer som utförts av obehörig verkstad ersätts inte av Scanmaskin. Felsökning Scan Dust 2900 är konstruerad och anpassad för en krävande miljö och uppgift, men användaren bör dock beakta att aggregaten innehåller precisionstillverkade komponenter som bör skyddas mot hårda slag och stötar. Filter, tätningar, infästningar och anslutningar är omsorgsfullt anpassade och utvalda för operatörens arbetsmiljö. Det är därför naturligtvis av stor vikt att operatör och servicepersonal behandlar aggregatet med insikt och kunskap, detta för att maskinen skall tjäna felfritt för det ändamål den är avsedd för. Unpacking When unpacking the machine, please check for damage and that that following accessories are included: 10 meter hose with end fittings Steel tube Floor nozzle The Scan Dust 2900 has two choices of main filter and is delivered with either the type cartridge or sock filters. If any of above-mentioned parts are missing, please contact your local distributor or our sales representative. 2. Safety Instructions 2.1. Handling Cables damaged through crushing or splitting can be dangerous if used and should be replaced immediately. Risk of personal injury. Do not connect the machine to an unearthed socket. Risk of personal injury. Make sure the assembly area is firm, so the dust extractor does not tip over. Risk of personal and material injury. Risk of pinching when handling the toggle fastener. The machine must not be used in environments where explosive gases may be present. Serious risk of explosions. Service Remove the plug from the wall socket when carrying out maintenance work. Risk of personal injury. Dust can be spread when the coarse filter and the HEPA filter are replaced that can be hazardous to health. Accordingly, the user should wear protective glasses, protective gloves, and a breathing mask conforming to protection class FFP3. Do not puncture the HEPA filer. Risk of dust dispersion. The manufacture or a trained person must carry out an inspection at least once a year. Check, for example, if the filters are damaged, the dust extractor s air tightness and the operation of the control unit, and inspect the electrical components, seals and cables for equalization so that they are not damaged Figure 1. Operation Before use, make sure that the operator is educated and follows the information set for using both the machine and to handle the dust disposal. Connect the machines incoming power to match the information plate that is placed on the machine. Connect the hose and possible the cleaning equipment to the Scan Dust 2900. Turn the main switch first to 1 and then 2. Never run the machine on only one motor. The filter must be cleaned from time to time. This must be done before changing the plastic bag. It can also be done when the work is complete or when the suction is poor. Filter cleaning must be done when the manometer is in the red field. 6. WARNING 1. Before any kind of maintenance or service is carried out, the power supply must be removed from the wall socket. This does not apply for the manual cleaning of the filter. 1. The mobile vacuum cleaner is not to be used for vacuuming wet or damp material. If water or any wet or damp material should enter the mobile vacuum cleaner it must be stopped immediately and dried before it can be taken into use again. 2. Under no circumstances must the mobile vacuum cleaner be used for suction of burning, glowing, explosive or inflammable fluids or material. 3. If the filter shows any damages it must inevitably be replaced before the vacuum cleaner is taken into use to avoid damages on the vacuum pump. Procedure: Cover the intake, let the machine build up vacuum for a few seconds and then quickly open the valve (1). Repeat the procedures 5-10 times. If suction remains poor, the filter should be replaced. The plastic bag may only be replaced after cleaning the filter. The plastic bag must be tied up after removal. Only use original parts. The machine is equipped with a plastic bag system by the name Longopac that helps changing the dust bags without being exposed to the dust. See chapter 7.1 Pull out a new bag, Longopac 4. Always treat used filters and used dust bags carefully since they might contain hazardous dust. Put the used filter in a large plastic bag and seal it carefully. Always seal used dust bags too. 5. The mobile vacuum cleaner must never be used without filter or dust bag. 6. All service, repair, and trouble-shooting of the mobile vacuum cleaner is only to be done by authorized staff. 7. Some dust may be harmful to the health and/or the environment. Check the regulations in your workplace. Transportation mode To be able to transport the machine in small or narrow places like in the back of a van the Scan Dust 2900 has an adjustable frame that makes it possibly to lower the cyclone. Pull the clasp (1) on both sides and twist them 45 to make them snap in their outer position. Push down the cyclone by pressing down on the top cover right between the hoses. When the cyclone is in its lower position turn the clasps 45 so they enter the holes (2) and lock the cyclone in the lower position. To get the cyclone back in its upper position do the same procedure the other way around. Make sure to lock the cyclone even in its upper position. The Scan Dust 2900 is equipped with gas springs that help to adjust in and out of the transportation mode. Important! Use the clasps to avoid the risk of injury. 8. Maintenance 8.1. Pull out a new plastic bag, Longopac 1. Clean the filters as described in chapter 7. 2. Turn off the machine, disconnect the powerplug 3. Pull down the Longopac so there is some room between the filled bag and the holder of the Longopac system. 7. Put on two stripes directly above the filled bag. 8. Cut the Longopac between the two stripes. 9. Get carefully rid of the filled bag. 10. Pull down the Longopac further down so that there is room for new dust. Risk of dust dispersion -Use of personal safety equipment Unhealthy dust can be spread during filter change. Accordingly, the user should wear protective glasses, protective gloves, and a breathing mask conforming to protection class FFP3. ENGLISH 8.2. Main filter change Scan Dust 2900 is delivered with either main filters of the type cartridge (4) or sock filter system. When replacing the filter, it is recommended to use a breathing mask. Always treat new and used filters with care. Even a very small damage or hole on a filter will severely reduce the filtration. A used filter may contain dust, which is harmful to the health and/or the environment and should therefore be disposed of according to governmental regulations. Put the used filter in a large plastic bag and seal it carefully. Only use original filter. Unplug the power supply from the wall socket. Release the three toggle fasteners that hold the top cover in place (see figure 6.1). Lift off the top (6.2). Carefully lift out the filter housing with filter so that the dust does not spread out. (6.3). Place the filter housing with filter upside down on the floor. Remove the nut and washer located at the bottom of the filter. (6.4). Put a plastic bag around filter and then remove the filter from the filter housing. Clean the housing and fit a new filter. Make sure that the filter is correctly centered in the filter housing. Fit the washer and nut. Tighten the nut so that the distance between the filter and the filter top is approximately 8 mm. To change the sock filter (6.5) cut the stripes that hold them up on the clean side. At its lower end it s fastened with spring steel snap system. Compress the sock together to be able to pull it out. Change all socks and put on new stripes at the other end. Put the filter housing back in the cyclone make sure that the sealing is fitted correctly. 9. Replacement of the HEPA Filters When replacing the filter dust can be spread when the filter is replaced that can be hazardous to health. Accordingly, the user should wear protective glasses, protective gloves, and a breathing mask conforming to protection class FFP3. Always treat new and used filters with utmost care. Even a very small damage or hole on a filter will severely reduce the filtration. Put the used filter in a large plastic bag and seal it carefully. Only use original filter. 1. Unplug the power supply from the wall socket. 2. Remove the M5 bolts that secures the top cover. 3. Turn the top cover of the HEPA filter. 4. Lift off the tops of the HEPA filter housing carefully. The hose doesn t need to be removed. 5. Put a plastic bag around the filters and then remove the filters from the filter tops. 6. Fit new filters. 7. Lift the filters back into the HEPA filter housing. Make sure that the filters are correctly centered in the filter housing and that the gasket is in the right position. 8. Turn the top cover so the filter is secured and reinstall the M5 bolt to secure it. Mount the top cover on the cyclone. Tighten the three toggle fasteners (6.1). ENGLISH 9.1. Service When cleaning and preforming service of this machine the power supply most be disconnected from the wall socket. Do not use highly pressurized water to clean the machine. Before the machine is moved from its working area it must be cleaned and the hose most be disconnected. All other equipment must consider contaminated from hazardous dust and should be treated like that. If possible, the service should be done in a separated room. Dust can be spread when the coarse filter and the absolute filter are replaced that can be hazardous to health. Accordingly, the user should wear protective glasses, protective gloves, and a breathing mask conforming to protection class FFP3 All contaminated parts that not can consider cleaned after service must be contained and exposed by local regulations. If the machine is exposed to hazardous dust the filters most be changed and the machine itself most be cleaned firmly so there is no risk off spreading hazardous dust the next time the machine is being used. 10. Warranty This product from Scanmaskin Sweden AB comes with a twelve-month warranty. If the product does not function satisfactorily during this period, Scanmaskin will return the product to full working order for normal use which the product is intended for with no charge for labor or spare parts, according to the following conditions: 1. The warranty only applies to persons that have legal right to the equipment during the warranty period. 2. The manufacturer s undertaking is limited to the repair of defective parts or the replacement of these according to the manufacturer s assessment. Costs and risks for transport as well as dismantling and reinstallation of the product / products and other direct or indirect costs, associated with the repair in question, are not covered by this warranty. 3. Periodic inspections, adjustments, maintenance work and changes are not covered by the warranty. 4. Scanmaskin is not liable for any damages to filters or other similar equipment. 5. The warranty only applies to material and design deficiencies and does not apply in the following cases: a. Damage caused through accidents, carelessness, changes, use of spare parts that are not original components, or incorrect use and installation. b. Damage caused by lightning, water, fire, vandalism, incorrect mains voltage, incorrect ventilation or other causes that lie outside of the manufacturer s control. 6. Scanmaskin reserves the right to modify the design or make improvements without obligation to change previously manufactured products. 7. All warranty repairs must be carried out by Scanmaskin or by a Scanmaskin authorized repair workshop. Costs for repairs, carried out by an unauthorized workshop, will not be reimbursed by Scanmaskin. If such repairs damage this product these are not cover by the warranty agreement. 34 35

Trouble-shooting Must be carried out by an authorized professional! a) The mobile vacuum cleaner does not start, neither with main switch in 1st or 2 nd position. - Check that there is power to the vacuum cleaner. - If any of above protector or fuse will go out again at a new attempt to start the machine, the probable cause is a shortcut. Before a new attempt, the electrical installation and power supply must be checked by an electrician for a possible shortcut. b) Poor suction. - Check for holes in the Longopac and check sealing on main filter. - Clean or replace the filter. (See 8.2 Replacement of the Polyester Filter and 9 Replacement of the HEPA Filter(s). c) Unusual noise from vacuum motor - Turn off the unit immediately and contact the supplier. d) The dust bag is sucked up into the cyclone/filter housing. - Check that the bottom valve is not obstructed and that it can fully close. 36 37
