Minska totalkostnad 3. Minska miljöpåverkan 4. Korta ledtider 5. Förenkla kommunikationen 6. Öka flexibilitet 7. Öka kontrollen 8. Patriotism
Svårigheter med återflyttning enligt litteraturen (1) Investment cost (high) Labor cost (high) Available resources (low) Available competence (low) Available space (low) Available material (low) Supporting tools (few) Access to finance High labor costs Lack of capacity Lack or shortage of qualified staff Lack of facilities Lack or shortage of raw-materials and components Risk of losing access to rawmaterials and components only available in the host country Lack of proper decision support/data Lack of information and communication about reshoring within the business Flexibility in staff (low) Risk when using different currencies (high) Risk of losing strategic assets (high) Environmental legislations (many) Lack of flexibility in the labor market Instability in exchange rates Risk of losing access to market and foreign distribution channels Risk of losing supplier knowledge Stricter environmental legislation Immature reshoring process Too late to go back
Svårigheter med återflyttning enligt fallstudien (1) Investment cost (high) Labor cost (high) Need of extending existing overhead (high) Need of updating prints (high) Difference in tax regulations (high) Available competence (low) Available resources (low) () () () Available time (low) Available space (low) Possibility to automate (low) Export difficulties (many) Possibility to try out new employees (low) Distance to customer (long) Managers support (low) Supporting tools (few) Risk of ruining supplier relation (high) Environmental legislation (many) Patents owned by supplier (yes) Challenge of increased complexity (high) Risk of losing strategic assets (high) Calculations on corporate level Available material (low) Flexibility in staff (low) Risk when using different currencies (high)
Möjliggörare Investment cost (low) Labor cost (low) Need of extending existing overhead (low) Need of updating prints (low) Available competence (high) Available resources (high) Available time (high) Available space (high) Possibility to automate (high) Export difficulties (few) Possibility to try out new employees (high) Distance to customer (short) Managers support (high) Supporting tools (many) Risk of ruining supplier relation (low) Environmental legislation (few) Patents owned by supplier (no) Challenge of increased complexity (low) Risk of losing strategic assets (low) Calculations on corporate level Available material (high) Flexibility in staff (high) Infrastructure (good) Governmental support (high) Supply chain design
