EN 13241-1:2003 (E) Foreword This document (EN 13241-1:2003) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN /TC 33, "Doors, windows, shutters, building hardware and curtain walling", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2004, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by January 2004. This European Standard is part of a series of product standards for industrial, commercial and garage doors and gates with or without fire resistance or smoke control characteristics (see Bibliography). This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive(s). For relationship with EU Directive(s), see informative annexes ZA, ZB and ZC, which are integral parts of this document. Annexes A and C are informative. Annex B is normative. This document includes a Bibliography. No existing European Standard is superseded.
