The wonderful taste of Southeast Asian cuisine is the result of years of interaction between Buddhists, Muslims, Christians, and Chinese. The restaurant Haga Forum is housed in a beautiful glass box with obvious James Bond influences. Built by the Danish designer Hack Kampmann in 1962, the restaurant was originally a bus terminal. Haga Forum is as much about interior design as culinary cuisine. The restaurant s guests are elegant, smartly dressed and fit perfectly into the environment. Sushi came to Sweden during the seventies, almost forty years later we can enjoy Sushi in almost every corner in Stockholm. A Sushi chain worth a visit is Sushi Yama. They have since 2008, when the chain issued their first restaurant, been serving sushi as it should be served. In a stylish and relaxing environment sushi of the highest caliber can be enjoyed. The chain has currently got restaurants in Uppsala, Gothenburg, Västerås and last but not least in Stockholm. Japan has a lot to offer. The stylistically modern restaurant, Shogun, in the Old Town is one of the oldest Japanese restaurants in the city. This is the address you want when you feel like trying something else besides sushi. Shogun has a sushi bar and two tatami rooms where you sit on braided mats placed directly on the floor. The menu features both buckwheat soba noodles in bouillon, as well as rice in tea bouillon with diced salmon. As a sweet finish to dinner, we have matcha, i.e. green tea ice cream. Refreshing and different. Today, everyone has tasted sushi and are more curious about other Japanese specialties, says owner Andrew Choy.
